“Short stop”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2013

The mill is in good shape but the rest need severe restoration. It's sad to see the history slip away but we understand that the island has other major needs. It was nice to take 30 minutes to see this site in the shade of lovely trees. It is located need the main road so quite easy to find.

“Important to see”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2013

Everyone should take some time to see Betty's Hope and learn a little about Antigua's sugar and slave history. Great to see more permanent exhibit information - when we went about five years' ago, it was bits of paper stuck on cardboard - now there are proper signs and info in plastic and it is well laid out. The place has an atmosphere of its own. Make sure your taxi driver takes in Betty's Hope as part of your island tour.

“A small museum site”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2013

The only restored plantation on the island. A small museum room and a restored windmill. The rest is derelict. Gives some insight into the running of a plantation.

“Interesting”

This was very neat to see. We went on a tour and this was one of our stops. Loved the little building that had information and the model.

“Interesting but only for a short visit”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2013

Much of the original buildings have gone or are just ruins, the restored windmill is interesting. When we visited there was a friendly person at the small museum who explained some of the history. At the moment though most of the displays are gone whilst they are waiting for new ones. Ok as part of visiting other nearby attractions (Devil's Bridge etc) but not on its own. 30 mins is plenty.
