“Felt Just Like Family!”
Reviewed March 21, 2014

Prickly Pear Island was the perfect day trip for us! We booked ahead of time via email with Miguel. We paid $80 for the day. We were told we could pick up a cab right off the pier. It was easy enough to get the cab, however the driver was not familiar with our drop off point and DID NOT return to pick us up as promised. If it hadn't been for Miguel's daughter and her brother driving us back to the ship, I don't know what we would have done. There is a short boat ride to the island. Snorkeling gear, lounge chairs, drinks, snacks and lunch were provided. There were other groups of people that came and went throughout the day (I think they may have booked through the cruise line, which was more $ and less time on the island) This is the perfect "beach day". The island is small and on our day, it did rain heavily for about 45 minutes. We ended up going back earlier than planned because we could see more rain on the way. When we return to Antigua, we will definitely visit them again! They were the perfect hosts.

“Perfect Spot”
Reviewed March 16, 2014

This is absolutely a must to see. The Prickly Pear Island is wonderful. The great thing is they don't over book the trip. We only had 20 people. The food was wonderful and the drinks didn't stop. Snorkeling was great! I would definitely recommend this trip.

“Perfect day”
Reviewed March 8, 2014

We were looking for time to just appreciate surroundings and enjoy nature. We found it at Prickly Pear Island. Miguel's family took great care of us, made us comfy and fed us delicious food! We lucked out and shared the island with just one other couple, our new friends from Scotland. This was our private paradise for 5 hrs. Calm waters ( within the reef) enabled a bit of snorkeling. Wandered around the rocky side for beautiful pics and viewed large sea turtles and were grateful for experiencing this piece of tranquility. Thanks to Miguel and family for maintaining this precious place.

Wonderful day on Prickly Pear Island. Miguel's family offers a warm and comfortable experience. Very private and calm day, great food. Cathy-Ann was so helpful in the booking process. Miguel told stories all day. Great food prepared by the family. Good snorkeling.

“An unforgettable experience”

You have to go here - a paradise island, completely unspoilt. Find tropical fish, turtles, conches and feast on lobster caught that day.
