Description: La Bussola have relocated to the site of the old Tides Restaurant on the beachfront at Dutchman's Bay. You will not be disappointed by this versatile venue offering a welcoming dining room with plenty of character and charm, two breezy, open-plan verandahs, with relaxed seating areas all surrounded by lush tropical gardens set against an Atlantic Ocean backdrop. Family-run by brothers, Chef Omar and Host Cristian Tagliaventi who grew up in the Umbrian countryside of Italy. Their passion ensures every dish is prepared with the spirit of authentic Italian cooking and culture. La Bussola serves only the finest meats and seafood, freshest vegetables, and bread that is baked daily on the premises. The good value à la carte lunch and dinner menus mix tradition with innovation. Classic Calamari with homemade Marina sauce, Beef Tenderloin Carpaccio with fresh spinach and Parmesan and Beef Scaloppini with lemon sauce sit side by side with Caribbean inspired Lionfish fillet with cherry tomatoes and Lobster Thermidor. They are the first restaurant in Antigua to have lionfish on the menu year round. The informal pizza menu served for lunch and dinner continues to win many fans who repeatedly tuck into thin and crispy, hand-stretched, stonebaked Italian pizzas and calzones. Amongst guests favourites are the Badia topped with grilled chicken, sweet peppers and garlic sauce and the meat-eaters paradise The Spada - topped with ham, pepperoni, Italian sausage and chicken. With a fantastic, fun atmosphere, the bar at La Bussola is second to none. It possesses one of Antigua's largest bar collections, with of over 300 spirits and liqueurs from all around the world. Not to be outdone, their cosmopolitan wine list features over 100 wines, champagnes and sparkling wines specialising in a diverse regional range from Italy. The new restaurant is the perfect location for private events, corporate parties, and intimate social gatherings with functional seating arrangements which can accommodate up to 100 persons. The friendly team await your visit soon

6 of us ate here at quite short notice, the owner set up a fab table for us, and was so welcoming and friendly.
The food was delicious. We went at night time, but would have loved to have gone in the day, as the views would have been amazing.

We booked a table at La Bussola based upon the Tripadvisor reviews and we were not disappointed! The setting is magnificent and the quality of service and food were equally superb. Whilst they did not have my first choice of wine available, the list is extensive and offers a wide range to suit all pockets. The portions are really large and you will not leave hungry. We were staying at an all inclusive resort and whilst they offer good value for money, the food choice is sometimes limited and of varying standards, so we deicded to sample a nearby restaurant and would reccomend anyone staying in the St Johns area to look no further!

View was amazing! Service was exceptional. Food was very good, but not unforgetable. We celebrated a romantic birthday in a place that set the mood for a great evening.

We went to La Bussola twice during our trip, we couldn't resist going back. The food and location is amazing, beautiful sunsets. The price is on the high side but worth it in my opinion. The pizzas are well priced and really good for those on a budget. The staff was nice, service and food was a little on the slow side (normal for the island) but gave us more time to enjoy the wonderful sunsets.
