We loved our stay at Villa Dix and on Antigua! The location is ideal: on the beach; near the city; and near restaurants and shopping.
We were there for Christmas week. Lots of people, but we never felt crowded.
The villa was very comfortable for the two us and could easily have handled two more, if they were willing to sleep on sofa beds. Everything we needed was in the villa. Furniture was nice and comfortable. Daily maid service was prompt and thorough. We had a few minor problems when we first arrived and found Antigua Village management to be very responsive.
The only real problem was that the resort next door played music until 11pm or Midnight depending upon the day. The music wasn't bad, but it was hard to turn in until it stopped.
The villa is very well equipped - comfortable beds just a seconds walk to one of the best beaches in the world - there are lots of great restaurants along the beach - water skiing - jet skiing all available on this lovely beach. I come back to the same villa every year and would not dream of going anywhere else. It has a balcony at the front and one at the rear - with excellent views
Villa Dix is roomy and the accommodations are bright. The bed is comfortable and the first floor bathroom is great. We enjoyed using the gas fired barbecue on the patio facing the parking lot. There is also a comfortable veranda facing the pool. Staff at the Antigua Villa were friendly and promptly dealt with requests.
The Coconut Grove restaurant at the West end of the property is good and open for breakfast lunch and dinner. We had several tasty meals there. Pepperz n’ Lime, the restaurant at the East end of the property is open only on the weekends (at least during low season) and neither the menu nor the DJ was able to attract our business.
We rented a car and returned it. The roads are poorly maintained. There are few signs and the road map was virtually useless. We took taxis and recommend booking Sylvester. He is knowledgeable and will get you where you need to go. The owners were very accommodating and offered great tips.

stayed 9 days at villa dix and it was great , the villa is part of antigua village which is a large complex of villas on the beach at dickenson bay . The villa is 3 levels so be careful if the knees or hips are wearing down , we overcame this by leaving our suitcases and clothes on the 2nd level so only needing to go to 3rd level once a day to sleep. The villa is well equipped with everything you need and is serviced daily. Management were very friendly and helpful and problems were dealt with promptly. the owner was easy to deal with when booking on the net. A car is required to get supplies from the local supermarket which is well stocked. The roads and particularly the road signs are a little rustic but the locals are very helpful and I saw no signs of road rage even when going the wrong way on one way streets , it added to the adventure and we looked forward to our sightseeing expeditions most days. some nights the music could be loud from the nearby beach bar and Sandals but quiet by midnight. on the whole we had a great time and would do it again.
