Whilst on vacation staying at Grand Pineapple on Long Bay we book a trip with a beach vendor named Marv. A boat picks you up at the end of Long Bay Beach and takes you our to see the stingrays the sting is safe as long as you don't stand on it or bang very hard against it. when you arrive you get of on to a floating pontoon and enter the water which is about waist depth where you are joint by stingrays what a gentle creature the guide will take hold of a stingray and you get to support it in the water then you get to feed them. You can snorkel and see lots of other fish what a brilliant trip. Your are then taken to there base for rum punch they have caged birds and monkeys ect not my thing but did enjoy the stingrays. You are then taken back to Long Bay Beach. Overall a very good trip $50 us.

A brilliant experience. We went with our 3 & 8 years old. It is quite an impressive sight and our 8 year old was scared and it took him ages to get in the water. Didn't help that a couple of ladies were screaming their head's off for ages - which was frankly impolite and selfish. Anyhow, our 3 year old really enjoyed it, even despite getting 'a kiss' from one of them. The stingrays were very social and used to human contact. Amazing experience, definitely do it!

I've done other stingray cities and this was pretty good. The rays are very docile and loving, okay they are looking for hand outs. You could just lay on the beach all day or get out and have some fun, take some pictures and have something to brag about when you get back to your cubicle office. Okay enough reading my review, you need to get out in the fresh air. This takes a few hours of your life and you can cross it off the bucket list. Oh and please take some kids even if you have to rent them.

An amazing family experience! We went with our two teenage sons. The actual feeding happens after a short boat ride out from the harbor into the ocean. A sandbar has been roped off in waist high water so that you can stand in crystal clear water and snorkel to watch the stingrays swim by. The staff is experienced and very encouraging. Having the stingrays brush up against your leg like a cat was amazing. You can reach out and pet them as they swim past! I'd recommend moving away from the staff member with the food when you feed the stingrays as the stingrays can be more enthusiastic knowing he has the food. They are much calmer a few feet away from him. They are wild but extremely gentle. An experience of a lifetime! The rum punch afterward was a nice finishing touch.

.....lots of fun for the adults and the kids. The experience was great and worth the $50 per person. The staff was very helpful and encouraging to those that were not ready to be so up close and personal with the "eager puppies" (as my wife called them). The kids had a great time too. Good fun for all. :-)
