living in manhattan i have been to many excellent restaurants some with multiple stars and some were even fun. i mention this only to emphasize the praise i have for casale villareana and guglielmo the proprietor.
guglielmo, arranged for a group of friends to attend the momma mia cooking class at the casale villarena.we arrived at 4:00 pm it was as though we were entering the home of our favorite italian relatives .
immediately we felt the jubliance and warmth of all the staff. we began to laugh, and we didn’t stop until 11:00pm.
we cooked ravioli, zuccini, eggplant parmigani,we laughed. we tasted some of the best cheese i have ever had in my life. we took an espresso break we laughed , we learned how to make limencello and we laughed. we danced around the kitchen with chef nona rosa , and we laughed. guilermo has an absolute gift for assuring that every single one of the guests are truly enjoying themselves. i just can’t say enough about this ability.
after we finished preparing our strawberry tarts guglielmo took us down to beach so that we could see the small fishing village. one of the smiling fisherman proudly showed us his catch.
we returned to begin our feast. it was amazing. because it was my sister judy’s birthday guglielmo decided to make it a true holiday.
he created a birthday celebration that none of us will ever forget. the food was homemade and incredibly delicious, the wine was wonderful but guglielmo and the staff made it the greatest feast i’ve ever enjoyed. grazie grazie grazie
if you truly want to have the best food in an amazing atmosphere please treat yourself to a visit to casale villarena.
