Having just spent 3 nights at The Hill on the Wall B&B I can confirm that all of the previous glowing reports are true!! Our accommodation was just great and the 5 star accreditation is well justified. Caligula's Chamber, our room for the 3 nights, was well appointed with an excellent en-suite and hospitality tray that would shame most, sorry ... all, 5 star hotels.
The cooked breakfast was essentially anything you wanted together with a selection of fruit and cereals from a self selection buffet bar. Fruit drinks, jams, marmalades and all manner of other breakfast offerings filled the table. The was plenty of parking space and the house overlooks Hadrian's Wall in the valley below, which was 4 mins by car or 20 mins on foot. Many thanks to Elaine and Ian for their excellent hospitality. When writing these reviews I do try to both objective and critical where necessary. This time the review wrote itself!! Really 5 star.
P.S.: We also appreciated the tea and cakes on arrival and in the evening as well!!
