“For Lipa Batangas This is fine dining...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2012

Valet parking located at rear of property.. Your car has to Pass through a gated entrance. Drive way from the front passes through a covered disembark for car passengers... Guard with an umbrella always ready to meet and share umbrella when it's raining, for in Lipa, it rains every other afternoon much like in Melbourne Australia, sunny one moment, rain the next depending on the time of year.

Location is everything for a restaurant especially a stand alone one like this, not located in a shopping mall. Their location is wow excellent on Ayala main drag of,Lipa. And their signage is up to snuff, it's what attracted me In The first place. And once inside, the servers try to get your email and contact info for their marketing promos. Good job!

You can tell this was a large house probably occupied by the owners family for a hundred years, passed on Through generations. The driveway to rear parking and the main pedestrian entryway show that this was a private house. The bar area faces the main entry and this was probably the living room. Very good place for a bar. To the rear of the bar is the kitchen so,service is controlled by the bar. Even the cashier is located centrally behind the bar to view the passing of customers food from kitchen to table. Can also see all customers served, coming and going. Well thought out...

Bottles of wine on each and every table, unopened of course, waiting for patrons to buy and uncork... Menu is well planned around a carnivores diet. Lots of ribs, beef ribs which I love.. I,don't eat pork you see. Good fresh salads, good variety of meat on the menu. I've had their stew, their ribs, rice pilafs, soups, and of course, their coffee. Portions are small however, to be fair, they offer Junior and Family portions on all menu items. The Junior Size is for one, Family sizes for two to three. For me? I can eat the family size all by myself. Coffee is the local famous Batangas arabica bean. It's impossible to gt a bad cup of coffee in any local restaurant unless you go to star bucks !

They're always half full or so at lunch and you can tell by the patrons that they are catering to the upper income group of Lipa.. It's a bit pricey but it's a good fair price for the quality. I've eaten there dozens of times and it's pretty consistent. Always good food.

I don't like the toilets location, nor the layout, nor the finishes. It does not compliment the ambiance and always smells of urine. Hmmmmm... For such a fine dining place this should not be the case.

Service is great! Everyone in uniform and on their toes. Overstaffed is my take but oh well, am not complaining about that fact.
