“Wonderful, great welcome accomodation and food”
Reviewed August 18, 2010

This was a great place to stay.We were on a cycling hilliday and we were made to feel wonderfully welcome by Linda and Mick, accomodation was very clean, well presented and comfortable and all our needs plus more were met. Lovely walks especially along the beach,we were lucky enough to see a small seal sunbathing, good directions given by our hosts. The local pub does great food in a friendly environment.. Ps My husband does a lot of business travel to top hotels in Europe and says he would class the Old Chapel as equivalent to a 5 star hotel. Thank you, we will be sure to visit again our favourite in a 7 night in 7 different stays on our trip.

This is a great B&B if you want a rural location.
The owners are very friendly and thoughtful. For example they provide a wind-up torch in the room and have umbrellas for the guests to borrow. Breakfasts are ample and good quality; particularly the fresh fruit salad.
Our room was slightly small, and there isn't a guest lounge, which could be an issue if you want to stay in. The other big room was bigger and had easy chairs, but a slightly smaller bathroom.
The guest house is on the coast road through Horsey and about 15 minutes walk from the beach. You can do a great circular walk to Horsey Mere, although part of it was closed when we stayed. The nearest pub is 20 minutes walk, or 40 minutes if you walk along the beach.

We decided at the last minute to go somewhere, anywhere, for the Bank Holiday. 'The Old Chapel' was found through 'Bing Maps', after a lot of searching. It could not have been any better if we had booked it months in advance. Linda and Mike made us feel instantly like old friends.
The place was clean, roomy, and had lots of things, (like DVD's to watch in our own room, a small library, and more biscuits and drinks, and more variety available than in most B & B's), that made it special, and stand out from the ordinary.
The breakfast was phenominal, in an intimate dining room of our own with just the three tables. It was very well cooked and beautifully served, and there was plenty of it. Just the job for setting one up for a day exploring Norfolk.
Well done Linda and Mike, you have a beautiful place there, I don't think you could do anything to make it better.

This place is a spotless and delightful B&B just a short walk from the Norfolk coast and the National Trust Horsey Mill. We spent a wonderfully quiet night there and had an excellent hearty breakfast in the morning - just the thing for a cycle holiday!
