After taking a decision to spend a couple of days around Fethiye, we zeroed down on this absolute gem of a property in Kabak. As you leave the town of Ölüdeniz and start the 30 min climb upto Kabak, you are welcomed with fascinating views of the Mediterranean Sea. When we reached Avalon Bungalows, we were welcomed by Frank and Val into their home. As you look to the expanse of ocean and mountains in front of you, you are literally left gaping at the sheer beauty of this place. You are transported away from the hustle and bustle of life into complete tranquility and peace and you look forward to staying in one of the four pretty bungalows.

Frank is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet in Turkey. A little secret is that Frank has designed and built these bungalows himself from scratch and this is a true reflection of his love for the place. The bungalows are impressive and spacious and have a fabulous view of the Sea even from within the rooms. The pool is interestingly designed and built at this altitude and sundeck chairs are a welcome sight. The central seating diwans and dining area will take your your breadth away.

We were travelling with our 9 month old baby and the baby cot was very comfortable. The dinners and breakfasts cooked up in the open kitchen by Chef Ali was the tastiest food we had on our trip to Turkey. Each and every ingredient is fresh and grown on the gardens on the property and my wife was very excited as she got to pick her own veggies for dinner. The nighttime is magical as you see no lights around you except the stars in the sky. Frank and Val are extremely warm and hospitable and I had some interesting conversations with Frank over Chai !!

Go here with your eyes closed !! - Coz you will open them to sheer beauty :)

Room Tip: We stayed in the bungalow in the center over the pool and the views were fabulous

We arrived expecting great things and our expectations were far surpassed. Greeted by possibly one of the friendliest people we've ever met, owner Frank made our experience that much warmer, that much better. Scenery was beyond belief, views stunning from every angle. Food prepared by chef Ali was great sitting overlooking a beach with some of the most turquoise waters we've ever seen. The bungalows are great size, very large and housing very modern comforts, and many walks available for your choosing. In the evenings after a lovely dinner we enjoyed the star-gazing immensely. Only negative part was having to say good-bye...we will definitely return. This place is a must-see...hands-down.

When I booked there was only one bungalow available, looking at the reviews, description and photos I actually went ahead and booked it without my wife seeing it first ! I thought I had to do it, it was exactly what we wanted and more.

Frank is the perfect host, my wife is pregnant and he was very accommodating to all our simple requests. Avalon has been created for the traveller to relax in comfort, admire the views and to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The pool is ideal for cooling off and reading a book at the pools edge.

The chef(s) cook daily with fresh ingredients creating authentic delicious meals. The comfortable outdoor area is ideal for a pre dinner drink and soaking up the ever changing backdrop.

It was so good that we are looking at going back next year with friends.

Room Tip: all five bungalows are the same with a/c, bathrooms with double showers, clothes rail, drawers and equally outstanding views.

My partner and I booked this place after hearing about it from someone we'd met on an earlier Turkish holiday. I was keen to stay somewhere off the track a bit, more private, and take advantage of access to some of the most wonderful archeological sites nearby.

You certainly get privacy at Avalon but you absolutely will need a jeep (not a car) to get around unless you are planning to just soak up the sun around the pool. Frank is always happy to drop you off in town when he goes for supplies but the road from Oludeniz is fairly rough and long so if you want to explore yourself, I wouldn't rely on taxis or buses.

The bungalows are of a very high standard - plenty of space and comfortably furnished. The views over the sea and bay are incredible. Waking up there is absolute pleasure and delight! The pool is small and not really for regular swimming but its perfectly fine for cooling down from the hot sun.

The restaurant was of exceptionally high quality. Three course meals with a different menu every day - all cooked to perfection by Frank's friend - mouthwatering!

Avalon is a perfect location if you want to get away from it and enjoy peace and quiet in a beautiful environment. The resort is Frank and Val's "dream" and the experience you will get is very personal. Frank is full of interesting information and his star gazing lecture is not to be missed on a clear night!

We stayed at Avalon for 1 week and it was just a really nice treat. The views were breathtaking and it's a place where you immediately feel at home. Frank, the owner, is very friendly and helpful and the food was so good that it is a shame that the cook didn't open a restaurant in the Netherlands. The bungalows are very cosy and if you are looking for a nice and quiet place to relax, this is really the place to go. The surroundings are gorgeous for those who like beaches and hiking. It's definitely a place we would like to go back to!
