“2nd Visit to didim beach :)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

We returned on the 16th May 2013 from our 2nd visit to Didin Beach resort. If you are open minded, not afraid to try new things and your idea of culture isn't a full english fry up then you will have a great time. The hotel is spotless, and the staff can't do enough for you. I always find treating people with respect and manners get me a long way. Go with an open mind and enjoy..! :)

on arrival of the hotel i was told my another person that the hotel was rubbish and drinks were watered down etc she was basically telling me t was rubbish when id literally just walked into the hotel. this annoyed me a bit as i would never tell someone this as they just arrive so i was a bit worried then. the staff at reception was friendly and they took our bags upto the room for us which is always good. it was tea time when we arrived but as we entered the restaurant the food was not all that great. the food inside was always the same and never very good and the childrens buffet was always pasta nuggets chicken burgers chips etc always the same. we found that the best food was cooked outside in betwen the inside part and outside part but id say it was mostly chickwn chips wedges turkish bread was all kinda similar foods but alot better than the food inside. i think i mainly ate some piece of chicken rice or chips or wedges. for dinner the is a snack bar that opens 12:30 till 6 which is chicken burgers chips nuggets and things like that we ate in there every day for dinner as much much better than eating in the restaurants. drinks were fine but the glasses are very small i had to get 2 everytime i wanted a drink as the one small one wasnt enough. water is available all the time to help yourself but i always found it very warm. the juice machines were very strong we found adding bit of water always made them taste alot better. cocktails are only available between 8pm and 11pm at first we was told that coctails are 10lira each so i didnt bother with them until another family told us this was not true and we could get them but just betwwen 8-11. most of the bar staff are nice and friendlt id say the staff at the pool bar are alot more friendlier my 1 year old was always behing the bar helping them out they loved him. the rooms were nice and clean and perfect size but the air conditioning wasnt very good at all. the maids were very nice and made things on the beds with the towels which was nice and rooms where always clean. th lifts in the hotel are a bit of a pain was forveer waiting and then would come and be full of people who could actually walk down the stairs which was bit annoying at times. at the hotel there is a professional photo place and the are people who walk round all day and night taking pictures of everyone you can also book a photot shoot which they do just before dinner. you dont have to buy these photos but they are put onto computers for you to browse at your on conveniance and order if you want they cost 12lira which is not bad at all we ordered quite a few as they are really good. night entertainment was good my one year old loved the mini disco but be careful with the little ones as mine fell of the stage twice and its quite high up. after the mini disco was the show i emjoyed most of them but the comedy ones were not very good. all in all it isnt a bad hotel just needs the food to be alot better oh and you have to get up really early to get a sun lounger i herd people sayin they was getting up at 5 just to reserve sunbeds so get in there quick. the pool at the elegance is always alot quieter and always sunbeds available.

this is very good resort for kids, there really enjoying them self but no much for adult to do
apart from sun bathing and enjoying a glass of champagne.
the room is in good size for us 4 and the service is good, the food need more improvement.

We have just visited from 10th to 17th of June. The hotel is very clean. The room are good standard . We had 501,502,503,504 and 401. There was a party of 18 and had no issues. The sun beds go early so be up around 6.30 to get what you want. The sunbeds on the sea side of the pool get the sun all day.when we left it was around 40 degrees. The food is ok and the drinks are watered down but hay oh. There is plenty of choice with the beach front bar serving food most of the day. It's very windy so be careful not to burn. We went out on the sunshine boat trip which was ace and the food was great. We paid £8 adults and £5 kids so haggle for prices.big bens restaurant was excellent food and see edu for great service.

I was worried before i went on to this hotel as after reading the reviews of some people on here ,but thank god it was all unfounded
We stayed in the elegance , and it was lovely . Very clean with big bathroom and lcd tvs . The food was fine as long as you are not expecting just english to be catered for . If this is what you want then dont go abroad .
The staff are fine , yes some are not all smiles but they are very busy so dont really have time to stop and chat .
The only thing you do have to do is get up early to get a bed as if you try after 7.30am you have no chance .
The animation team are non stop making sure there are activites to keep you busy day and night if you require .
Go and enjoy it and dont worry you will have a blast

I visited this Hotel in June this year after reading the reviews travelled open minded but I wished I had listened to them ! Whilst the Hotel is beautiful the rooms are comfortable and everywhere is immaculate, the alcohol is all watered down and beers poured and left on the bar for you to take so flat as well , the mini bar is filled for arrival and not restocked apart from the drinking water which is a bottle topped up . We sat in the adult only area where the management did come and thankfully throw any children out and pool towels were provided , their was always something to eat in the buffet restaurant with bread to die for ! yum yum ,but I wouldn't bother with the a la carte the food was served stone cold. If your going to the experience the turkish bath book with Apollo he is a really nice honest person who will not rip you off . Overall I would rate the Hotel as maybe a 3*+ but no higher but hey you get what you pay for and it is cheap !

Room Tip: Elegance rooms are probably the quiet ones but are small but all immaculate

I was about to go on my last dinner before i flew home ,went to the toilets at the side of the kids pool went down the stairs and at the second from the bottom slipped as the floor was wet and no wet signs and all the cleaner could do was laugh.Had to go to the medical center in didim so missed my last dinner apart from that nice hotel

Room Tip: Bad experiance on last day so do not hurt yourself at this hotel as the staff laugh at you
