We were advised to visit the Green Dragon via our cottage 'welcome pack'. We don't know why this pub is on the list as a family friendly pub.
This is a drinkers pub and a local drinkers pub at that. The dog at the bar, the swearing regulars, the inaccessible garden (you have to go out and walk around to get in the garden) and the lack of parking all slowly devalue the experience. The pub has no high chairs, does not serve food before 6pm and only has a couple of printed menu's so they have to be asked for.
The food was good when it arrived. The fish was very fresh and the sausages delicious. However, as a family with young children the overall negatives outweighed the positives.
An odd, quaint (?), nice pub to sit in with your mates for a pint. Don't take your family even if there is a big climbing frame at the back.
