My boyfriend and I (22, Sydney) chose this dive centre as it was in walking distance from our resort. We are not experienced divers, both have our open water PADI certification however it has been 12 and 9 months respectively since our last dive. When we booked our dive for the next day, and expressed our concerns on remembering equipment setup/ a few nerves we were not reassured as much as I would have liked, and it felt like we were being deterred a bit, so spent the rest of the afternoon worrying. Come the dive we managed our own set up fine, and did 2 boat dives with a group of 3 others. Because the Cook Islands is volcanic, the dives are a lot about the coral structures, not about an abundance of sea life. In between dives we returned to the harbour. Afterwards we filled out our log books and had a snack to chat, which is great because that's what the dive communities all about!
