Six adults and three small children . Staff very helpfull in getting everyone seated . Food ordered. Children's food arrived very promptly. Adults orders arrived 40 minutes later. The risotto was minuscule and sent back to kitchen and rectIfied, the roast beef was extremely rare, full of fat and what meat there was on the plate was very slimy and just not palatable. It was a pity as it was part of a fortieth birthday celebration.

Thank you for your feedback on you sunday meal. We are pleased that you have brought this to our attention. We rectified the issue with the portions of your Rissotto promptly but we were unaware that there were any issues with your Roast dinners. We would have been happy to have either rectified any other issues or have offered you an alternative.
We are sorry for your unsatifactory experience and we have communicated this back to our head chef.
Yours thankfully
Nick

I made an online booking for a lunch table at the Coach and Horses for my MD to host some VIP guests. Staff there were really helpful and went over and above expectations to make the lunch a success even my MD said this was a perfect venue and the food was fab. I will definately keep them on file for future events

My wife and I selected Coach and Horses Hotel in Kew for our wedding in October because it is close to our flat and seemed to have a lot of charm. As it turned out, it was a great location for us partly because of the Old London charm but mostly because Pippa & Nick and their staff made us feel very comfortable. They worked with us on setting up the rooms for the wedding and reception just the way we had in mind, including the involvement with the local officials who conducted the wedding. Everyone also enjoyed the food at the reception, especially the custom chocolate cake baked by the hotel chef.

With a good friend we decided to go to London...sports-weekend !
We did not enjoy Marriott at Twickenham...but ENG-NZL was a highlight of the weekend !
We searched and ended up at the Coach and Horses...and booked it for 3 nights.
Days before we would go, we got a mail, if we needed taxi-service for the match...it would be busy !
Wowww...what a friendlyness and service !
When I arrived (early) the coffee was served in the very cosy pub-part...
When my friend arrived with a later flight, we enjoyed a fantastic pie...
The rooms are nice, clean, decent, complete...however my matrasse needs a re-fill I think...it starts to be soft..and the air-system is a bit noisy...even when I switched off !
Breakfast is basic, but you can order and complete it perfectly !
The staff is very very friendly, interested in who you are and what you want !
It feels like home...unbelievable, but within a day we felt like home !
Assistance in train-schedules, taxi-service, an electricity connector which I forgot to bring, good internet for free...
All is taken care of !
The owners had a nasty problem (to private to explain on this site) but amazingly did not forget us...a chat, a little talk, a joke...amazing to see how these lovely people run this show !
Besides...their X-mas tree action, for kids who won't get something at X-mas...shows how they are; warm, lovely, social, caring !
Great action guys and girls !!!!
All staff by the way, but what a respect I got for these SA-people !
Never seen/felt it like here...and I assure you I travel a lot (Platinum Elite for Life at KLM...) !!!!!
Dear people from The Coach & Horses...THANKS !!!
It was so good to be in your "home" !!!
Remco and Gilbert

Hi,

Thanks for the positive feedback.

Regarding the air-con and mattresses, they will be replaced when we have our extensive refurbishment in February.

Hope to see you again.

Coach & Horses Team.

I have stayed at this hotel a dozen times or more over the last 10 years. It is THE place to stay if you are visiting the Kew Gardens which is 100 meters down the street. It has vintage English charm. There are many different rooms, some small and some large. Some look out on the street, some on the back, some have a skylight. The shower in some of the upper rooms is very small and being over 6 feet tall, I could just barely bend over to pick up the soap in this room, but in other rooms they aren't so tight. The elevator only goes to the second floor, so rooms on the third require a walk up some stairs. The bar is dark wood paneled, a charming pub with a fireplace in winter. It's usually crowded in the afternoon after work and there are occasional parties that take up a lot of space. The beer is mostly Youngs and Guinness but they have lots of other bottled brands. There is a draft Kew Beer that is quite good. And, if you are staying at the hotel, you can come to the bar and get a beer served at any time of night.

From and to the airport, it's easy to take the Picadilly Line to South Ealing station, cross the street to catch the 65 bus to Richmond, get off at the stop at the other end of the Kew Bridge and walk 100 meters to the hotel. The bus ride is 15-30 minutes depending upon time of day. If you get a day pass at the airport, the bus is a free transfer. Otherwise 2.2 pounds.

The food is great. Breakfast can be a continental buffet, or you can order a "full English breakfast" with egg, tomato, beans and a banger. There's a TV set on BBC1 in the morning. The dining room is also "old English" decor with wood paneling and a fireplace. It's really delightful. There's also a patio area in front when the weather is nice. If you are very lucky, there might be a cricket game underway out on the Kew Green directly across the street.
