“History of Lose and Recovery of a People”

The museum is a must see. Covers the dispersel of the Acadians, return of a few and their history. Wonderful videos, cultural information and tools, furnishings, etc. Could have spent hours more but time ran out. The bookstore has a treasure trove of informative books available. Needed another suitcase to bring them back. Informative guides available to asnwer questions. Some are students at nearby St. Anne's college who are doing a French immersion program there. Also attached is a library with great genealogy resources. Great place to spend an hour or many hours.

“Arcadian History”
Reviewed July 25, 2014

A wonderful museum of Arcadian history. It is presented in several ways....videos, reading and viewing room setups and tools. You can spend an afternoon or a short visit and enjoy equally. A nice gift shop for souvenirs and a travel person for local information.

“Absolutely worth a stop!”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

It is well worth exploring what locals call The French Shore, and this visitor centre and museum will give you all the information you need to understand the local Acadian French culture. We also got lots of info. on local attractions and art galleries. In fact, the gallery there was interesting too.
