for such a large hotel the service is very good
which means the management cares and trains its staff well
Upon checking everything we needed to know was explained upfront in very efficient manner
There were people available throughout the hotel to answer any questions we had
had a free shuttle to take you to town market
Their private beach is very long and wide
They offer all sorts of water activity right on the beach at a decent price
Breakfast has a wide selection (only complain is not having fresh brewed coffee)
Rooms are big and beds are quite comfortable
Layout of the hotel is quite convenient
Pool is big – with lots of sections to keep kids and adults where they want to be
Overall it’s an excellent value and ideal for large family as well as for couples
the only thing keeping them from getting a perfect rating as far as i am concerend
is the deposit you hvae to pay upfront
(which might take up to two weeks to get it back as they told me)
fine as long as there are no surprises

Very well run – again for such a large establishment

Probably the best staff service I've ever received anywhere in all my travels. Every single person we came across was friendly, and all too eager to please. The rooms were adequate, the building a little on the older side, but the pool was great and the beach was also decent. The all-inclusive option is the way to go!

Stayed in the hotel in May for 2 weeks. The hotel is spotlessly clean, very well maintained and the staff are second to none.
For an all inclusive the food was superb
The only fault and it is a minor one is that linen in the bathroom requires replacing
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and look forward to returning sometime soon

We have an eco-friendly program for all linen including that of in the bathroom. There is a towel card that should be placed on the towel if you want it to be changed. My husband and I were really looking forward to this trip when we booked. We booked the Thalasso spa package, and paid more for the Deluxe Ocean view rooms. We arrived really late the first night, but were quite horrified to find that we were checked into a room on the first floor with pool side views rather than ocean views. Furthermore, the tap water smelt really funny and we had to brush our teeth using the water from the bathtub. We were also put in a room just beside the buffet restaurant and I was hence woken up very early the next morning because of the noise. I was hence very unimpressed with the hotel. However, after taking up our concerns with Mie, one of the guest managers, she immediately helped organise our change of rooms and was very helpful and accommodating with our requests. We got changed to a room on the fourth floor with beautiful ocean views. I had a great stay after the first night. We spent all our time in the resort. I must say it was the most relaxing weekend ever. The spa was amazing, we were really spoilt as we got 280usd worth of vouchers to spend on spas. My husband really enjoyed the windsurfing too. The pool was clean even though there were lots of people swimming. The staff at Grand Mirage were very friendly as well. I was truly spoilt. Thank you for making our trip really enjoyable!

Ocean View room was excellent value but the Hotel is a little tired still great value for the view. The staff are definetly not as professional as other Hotels I have stayed at in Nusa Dua no help whatsoever in advising for anything other than what's available in the Hotel and I found it very strange that no where in the Hotel was there information about anything ( restaurants things to do etc) other than the Reairt. Concierge very unhelpful also the Spa very average compared to others I have been to and very overpriced.

We stayed at this hotel for Christmas and New Year 2013/2014. After comparing hundreds of hotels the Grand Mirage seemed to have the best deal in this area of Bali. On their webpage we found the all inclusive option including the airport transfers, several water sport packages like jetski, banana boat etc and Spa vouchers.
Unfortunately there were no sea view rooms available anymore at the time we booked (extra fee), which might be worth it. So we had a garden view room, however it was also ok.
You can see that the hotel is already a little bit older, however I cannot say that it is running on low maintenance, it just might need some small refurbishments here and there. The room was clean, as well as the bathroom and the rest of the hotel.
The all inclusive menu is alright, including several soft drinks, beer and cocktails. Wine is also on that menu, however if you really like wine, you might rather chose it from the wine list (chargeable).
December is maybe not the best travel time, since it was raining quite a lot, but even during heavy rain the outside restaurant as well as the pool bar stayed open in order to serve the guest. Restaurant-, bar- and hotel staff are very friendly.
Also in the package were some spa vouchers, however it does not cover the whole treatment. If you find it too expensive, there are several small massage shops outside the hotel just down the road.
If you get tired of the hotel food it is also worth just have a look outside, just turn left and after about 300 meters you will find a restaurant called "Bumbu Bali" which is highly recommendable, serving local dishes (better to reserve a table in advance for dinner).
The beach of the hotel is nice and clean, however there I quite some noise due to all the water sports provided by the Mirage Hotel, neighboring hotels and others. The water was clean and clear during our stay.
There are no clubs nearby (but shuttle busses available) which makes the area relatively quite, which we found good, since the clubbing areas of Bali are quite crazy and noisy.
The Christmas and New Years program of the hotel was ok (at extra cost), offering some traditional dances, buffet etc.
If you like shows, the hotel is offering tickets for a show called "Devdan", which is a cultural medley through Indonesia mixed with some modern elements.
One last thing: If you are thinking in which hotel to stay Grand Mirage or the sister Hotel Club Bali Mirage which is just next door, belonging to the same group - go for the Grand Mirage, slightly more expensive, but definitely worth it, while you still can use all restaurants of the Club Bali Mirage!

On first look, the hotel did not seem to be that impressive but after the check in formalities when I entered my room, it felt awesome. The balcony of the room was sea facing. Also, the swimming pool was right in front of the balcony. Very peaceful, calm atmosphere.
I could spend hours just sitting in the balcony and look at the beautiful sea in front.
The breakfast spread wad very good and many options to choose from.
Staff is very polite and helpful.
One can book this hotel anytime without any hesitation.
