first day of my trip on may 25 th 2015, i was welcomed with great service and very good explanation, but then my room was very smelly. it was room number 1177 and 1178. the room smells badly till i cant sleep well. then on the 26th i asked for a new room since i booked 4 nights at this hotel.
on the 26th evening, i waited at the reception area, whileonly 2people g1 in cahier area, 1 reception table) was on the back of the reception table and still give service to the other guest. i asked politely to the person that was behind the cashier as i already waited for more than 10 minutes, and few guest is also on the line queing to be served, and the person talk back unpolitely and very rude to me. i asked his name, it was katre.
the hotel overall was good, but it also already very old, and creepy, with lots of mosquito on the firat kevel.
on our second night, the floor was very dusty, and lots of amenities was not there. we needed to ask for towel and water, that we supposedly get as we get it on the first night.
please do improve the service for this hotel, the housekeeping and reception especialy mr katre, he needed to be trained before he do service. i think he was not qualified to be the reception of a five star hotel such as grand mirage.
i highly hope that i can enjoy another 2 night of my trip.

Room Tip: as the children below 12 are free of charge to get a spare bed, you should noted it before on your booking unless you wont get it instantly on site. first level rooms are too humidd n smelly, ask for second or third or fourth level instead

I apologize that your stay was less than expected. I have noted and shared your feedback to the respective department heads. Mr. Kartre is in charge in the cashier, so that he suggested you to talk to reception. Please accept our apology if the way he communicated was not to your liking. Mr. Kartre is one of our senior staff with impeccable service.

Bali is a tropical island, so mosquitoes are unavoidable though we have sprayed the hotel with pesticide three times in a week. Our room is a typical Balinese room I am sorry if it did not meet your expectation.

Kindly rest assured that our staff always does the best to prioritize the guests comfort. I hope the issues will not deter you to stay at our resort again.

My wife and I stayed at this resort from 10/05/2014 until 24/05/2014. Having read some of the over the top negative reviews on here we were a bit apprehensive about sating here. As soon as we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The ocean view room we were given (3323) was very nice and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. I suppose it goes some way if you treat them with respect. The choice of restaurants was ok but La Cascata, the Italian restaurant, was a disappointment. I had a pizza and it looked and tasted like a pre prepared supermarket effort. The decor was dark, dank and unwelcoming. Jukung Grill, grand cafe and our favourite, Chopstick Chinese restaurant more than made up for the disappointment with La Cascata. Breakfasts in the grand Cafe were also very good.
The hotel could do with a little tlc in places and the pool could do with a good scrub. The resort was never sold as a 5* to us so did not expect it to be so. Go and make your own decision expect little and you will be pleasantly surprised. Thanks to the staff for the lovely cake left in our room for our Wedding Anniversary. It was a lovely surprise. Overall a great holiday in a lovely country.

Room Tip: Ocean view rooms on the northern side of the resort are quieter. Go all inclusive for better value

We stayed at The Grand Mirage from May 12 - May 24th in a Ocean facing King Suite with our 4 year old son. At first I was a little concerned about reviews I had read stating the hotel as "dated". While yes the resort is not a brand new resort it is filled with Balinese charm, culture and character. We went for the gold all inclusive package and could not have been happier with the amazing options that were provided for us on this package. Food and Beverage services were superb. Jukung Grill is a MUST for dinner by the beach and the breakfast buffet is wonderful with options for everyone. The stand out at Grand Mirage is the service provided by its wonderful staff. Special thanks especially to Dana the pool barman, Nyoman the lifeguard, Lanang a waiter, Karyati, Malani, Ina and the girls in Bamboo kids club and Senni the guest Manager. Staff remembering us by name and daily sharing jokes or chats with us made our holiday most memorable. As it was our honeymoon ( with our child ) we were provided with options for both our honeymoon and as a family. We also made friends with other famililes staying at the resort which promotes a friendly environment. The room we had was clean, spacious and decorated beautifully in true Balinese style, simple a delight. The only fault was that our air conditioner broke down twice and fridge once but was fixed within the hour, once even being at midnight. It is unavoidable to have minor problems in any situation but it is how it is dealt with that counts and Grand Mirage staff were quick to rectify any issue. We will be back to Bali hopefully in 2016 and will ONLY choose Grand Mirage as our accommodation choice. We hope next time to bring a group of our friends so they to can experience all Grand Mirage has to offer. Thank you from Olivia, Dan and Zack :-)

We have returned to Scotland after two weeks all inclusive stay in Bali. We had a wonderful holiday, staying in the Grand Mirage Hotel. The friendliness of all the staff could not be improved, from the minute we were greeted at the hotel, the reception where we were made aware of all facilities and excursions, the dining room where all the staff catered for everything we required, not forgetting the lounge bar staff and our pals who served our beach refreshments.
Our room was spotless throughout our stay and we had a teriffic view of the sea.
To say our holiday was made so enjoyable by the hotel and its staff would be an understatement.
We are now hoping to return next year for a fourth time, as we have made so many friends and are so well looked after at the Grand Mirage.

Room Tip: We were on second floor, where everything was at hand and we had a great view from our balcony, we also found that all inclusive was more beneficial to us.

We had the ocean facing room in this hotel and the views were really breathtaking. Service in the grand cafe was also good with a very good spread of veg and non-veg. The veg food was pretty nice and since i don't eat non-veg i cannot comment about the same. The hostess was also very pleasant and friendly. Food in general is expensive compared to restaurants outside. The good thing is they have more than just a couple of veg items on their menu. So for the pure veg guys, it's going to be sandwich or pizza or rice+veggies. The pool is amazing and kept clean. They have a basket ball pole as well, which people use to the max. They have enough sunbathing chairs for those interested in getting a tan and it's very close to the beach, which is a real attraction. We happened to see a beach wedding as well, which was different. Only hitch i felt is the lack of enough power outlets for you to use (recharging your phone or laptop). They do provide a multi-purpose adapter, so you will not have to go searching for one, but searching for a power outlet is going to take sometime and ultimately you'll have to plug out one of the lights to use the adapter. Overall value for money for the room and breakfast included.

Room Tip: Select an ocean view room to get a excellent view of the beach and ocean from your balcony.
