“Excellent... we'll be back”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

We loved it, visited in May 2014. Temp was perfect, staff were excellent, as was the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble, we asked to borrow a dvd and it was in our room within 10 mins, same with ice for drinks. Food was excellent, Day spa excellent, such a relaxing holiday, so different to hustle bustle of Kuta and Seminyak - we loved that it was so quiet. Village tour is a must, as is a trip up to Bali Collection with its array of restaurants and quality shops. Book it, you'll love it.

Room Tip: we had a Voucher and paid extra for a pool view room, we were on the 1st floor - it was worth the ex...

We returned last night (31 May) from Bali after staying at this resort on a voucher for 8 days. Voucher included an upgrade to a pool view room, 8 massages, 2 meals and 4 drinks, cost less than $1K AUD and was excellent value. Our room was number 146 and it was a brilliant location on the ground floor (at first was unimpressed but soon changed our minds) we just stepped out the rear of our room and had direct access to sun lounges, day beds, the pool of course with its swim up bar. Very well located in terms of proximity to various eateries and the free shuttle buses to Bali Collection and Kuta were well utilised.

Up to day 6 we would have stayed here again in a heartbeat but on that day the resort was inundated by more than 60 high school kids with apparently no supervision and certainly no concept of good manners or courtesy and this really impacted on our experience. These kids seemed to take over the resort behaving badly and just making a general nuisance of themselves. This was a common complaint of our fellow guests and those travelling with their own children reported their kids appeared to be intimidated staying in the hotel room rather than venturing out to the common areas once the schoolies arrived.

We would still stay here again but would require a commitment from the management that there would not be a repeat of the situation with the schoolies kids. Having said this I am somewhat bewildered as to why they would choose this resort, it seems far more suited to families or older people than to kids in groups.

Stayed here with my husband and three kids in April. Yes the rooms are a bit dated but the resort is lovely, the breakfasts were yummy and staff were very helpful. The kids loved the pool and the pool access room was great. It's a little quiet compared to kuta and Legian but the shuttle in Kuta and Bali collection was great and a day touring around in a taxi was only $45. We upgraded to a 2 bedroom villa for the last couple of nights as 5 of us in a room with a king & 1 extra bed became a bit too much.
Overall we had a great time a this resort and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quieter part of Bali.

Room Tip: Pool access if you want a quick dash to the pool or a 2 bedroom villa if you want some room & pr...

stayed here with my wife in May on a deal off the net, $999 for 8 nights as opposed to original cost of $3000 ( no way worth that ) the staff are very friendly and always say hello and smiling, the room we had was 332 on the top floor overlooking the gardens, don't accept this room unless you are a family as it has a connecting door to the next room and the sound proofing is non existent, we had to move for our last two nights when a rowdy couple moved in next door, no problem with getting moved, I expect this a constant complaint for guests, we were moved to a pool view room so an upgrade of sorts but could have done without the hassle in the first place, the aircon in both rooms was very noisy but we got used to it, we had friends staying in the villas and their aircon was more modern and a lot quieter and colder.

The restaurant was large and well set out , not many people eating here through the day and evening, could have done more to promote it, the breakfast buffet was standard fare for asia and the egglady was very friendly and cooked eggs as you wanted, only disappointment with the buffet was no mushrooms, beans, or cooked hot tomatoes available but the bacon was the best we have tasted in asia, the hotel is set in beautiful grounds with ponds full of goldfish/koi carp running through the centre of the resort, very peaceful. over the road from the hotel is the Tao restaurant overlooking the beach, great spot, we spent most of our time here lounging around watching the beach activities, may not be everyones cup of tea as it can get a bit noisy in the mornings with all the water sports going on but come 4 o'clock its all peaceful, nice food in the restaurant a bit more pricey for the food and beer than other places but the setting is worth it and the cleanest toilets ( air conditioned ) than any other bar or restaurant we tried.

The hotel is a bit isolated for other places to visit but has a free shuttle bus into kuta daily, there's a good bar just up from the hotel ,Meads, best meal we had on our holiday, a bit pricey but quality food. there are plenty of restaurants heading back to Nusa Dua maybe a 10 min walk but watch the pavements, especially in the dark, some dangerous holes.

overall a nice place to stay just a bit worn around the edges, some renovation work was being done at the time.

Room Tip: do not accept a connecting room, poor soundproofing. villas have the best air con.

we had a very relaxing stay for 8 nights - the hotel was not very full apparently low week in Bali - this was good as we never had to fight for a sunbed however the local restaurants were a bit quiet which meant there was no atmosphere - The best part of the hotel was the TAO beach Bar which is part of hotel and we enjoyed the watching the beach activities and had fabulous lunches at TAO overlooking the pool. The hotel room was great on the ground floor with easy access to the Spa and the pool without using stairs and lift - not sure if this would affect privacy if the hotel was busier but it was delightful for us - hardly anyone walked past us I think the package offered for this trip was exceptional and enjoyed the free massages

Dear eprunty,
Warmest greetings from Ramada Benoa Bali.
Thank you for your comment and we are glad that you have enjoyed your recent stay with Ramada Benoa Bali. The location of our hotel is giving the opportunity to our guests to really enjoy their relaxing time without any hassle of the crowded and traffic such as in Kuta of Legian. We are happy that you enjoyed your time in Tao restaurant where it is mostly serve Thai foods. We have Thai lady chef who could make your favorite Thai dishes.
We had enough stock of sunbed or sun lounge chair in the hotel.
We hope that we could be given another opportunity to welcome you back in Ramada Benoa Bali.
Best wishes,

May be the heat outside is too strong.Restaurant was really good value. Live music was so good and we had a romantic poolside dinner which was awsome

Room Tip: Room with pool view is very good
