I arranged the tour through a company called Hello Bali.I saw the brochure around 11PM. I gave him a call. He arranged to pick me up the next morning. Remember each sport is run by a separate operator who will charge an arm and a leg. This man had a reasonable rate and he kept to it. You can still negotiate rates with all operators but you can keep this operator's rate as a yardstick. I was very apprehensive of the safety issues when I booked through him. However, all tour operators are just brokers and the safety standards are as good as in Australia., but cost a tenth of costs here in Australia. We were 5 people and opted for banana boat ride, ocean walking, and trip to turtle island with lunch. We negotiated a price of 1.6 million rupiah for all of us (which worked out to A$ 172 ) We arranged driver by the name of Wayan Tony mobile No . Tony is very sincere and nice driver and has a good command over English. We negotiated a price of 350000 rupiah for the air conditioned six seater van (which includes fuel and driver for day). The normal price being 500000. I was so impressed with his service. I gave him 400000 rupiah (A$43 for the day)
We negotiated the price for DVD of our sea walking experience at 400000 rupiah (A$ 43). I am sure we could have negotiated down to 350000 rupiah.
