My Sakala experience .... I sat outside Friday night and although it was windy I enjoyed a sangria while the sunset. ( no by the glass Champagne or decent wine.... the woes of a solo traveler! I contemplated on the strange surroundings and came to the conclusion that there must have been a number of architects that came and went during the construction. Inside I went for dinner... I was the only guest. Intimate is not a word you could associate with Sakala. Le Grande Warehouse would be more accurate. Staff pleasant. No cool refresher towel... no drink coaster or napkin... drip drip drip all over silk dress. BUT ..... the food was outstanding! Bravo! Escoffier & Bocuse revisited!
The food deserves a finer restaurant setting.
