Reviewed April 24, 2013

We stayed at this Hotel last September for 14 nights. We did use our timeshare points and must say we were hesitant after reading some negative comments, to use our points we had no other choice at the time of our visit. If you go by timeshare Classic...the company, were wonderful.

Our concerns were short lived once we arrived. We were warmly greeted by the staff on duty. We had a one bedroom unit, it was large, comfortable and clean with full aircon. Our unit was on the side of the building but we still had a view, our veranda face the road but it wasn't noisy at all, ok you got the odd motor scooter wizzing past but that's Bali. We would sit and watch the locals enjoying their day to day activities and it was interseting. It is at the end of town.....and I mean the end! But it is only a 5 mins walk to Restaurants and Bars and very quiet. A five min walk to great restaurants such as Meads, Tao, Sakarla and many more. Remember when you stay at Segara you are part of 'village life' so it's not rowdy or unsafe, the school is up the road and when you walk around the side streets you are in suburbia but everyone is welcoming.

We were there during a festival, the temple is across the road so we had a couple of days of chanting! Through the day we were out but the first evening we thought 'oh, no' as the we thought it was going to go all night. On returning from dinner the staff wanted to move us to a back room for one night so were could be 'in peace' they were very sweet but the chanting ends at 10pm so we stayed in our room without regret.

The units have basic kitchen supplies but enough for holidays, the breafasts are the same menu each day but nice enough. We actaully got a taxi to Hardy's Market in Nusa Dua and did a bit of shopping, it was about $3 AUD ea way by taxi, a local super market and has everything you need including cheap alcohol. Anything we had left we gave to staff. The staff can do enough to help with anything you might need. The pool is small but ok, however there are restaurants up the road that have pools and if you buy a beer, coffee or water etc you can virtually stay there all day. Sakarla had just opened and it doesn't look the type of place you can just wander in to and use.....but you, we had the pool to ourselves more than once and the food is great. Dinner at Meads (Meads in Bali) google it, was wonderful, a little more costly than the average but worth it.

Kuta is about 20 mins by taxi (in peek hour) and cost about $13 AUD max but if you get a clear run you can get there for $7. Water activities are on the beach in front of Segara (no noise in rooms).

We sold our house while we were at Segara so there were contracts going backwards and forwards for several days, the staff were all FANTASTIC!! They helped us no end and we had full use of computers faxes and they even let us use the phones. They were as excited as we were :-). The day we left check out was a t 10am but we weren't to leave till around 9pm for a midnight flight. When breakfast arrived the Duty Manager came with it and told us when we were due to leave to please call him as he had arranged another room for us to store our bags etc. When he took us to the room he said to use it as our own, we could sleep and shower etc. How nice was he to do this for us. Anyway we store our gear, swam at Sakarla...and used their showers, had dinner at Meads and wander back to Segara to get our bags and meet our taxi.

If you don't want the nosie and crowds then try Segara if you want a hit Kuta for a night or a days shopping it' close enough. Laundry in a side street on your right walking to town...very cheap and good.

You will love Bali.......Enjoy!

Fantastic choice, staff extremely polite and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the pool was clean and very private. Great location if u want privacy as its not a massive hotel. Would definitely recommend. It is well situated to water sport activities on the beach.

I stayed last January 2013. It is spacious and very nice. Inside the unit, there are 2 rooms (each with bath tub), big living room (with big sofa), big kitchen (with may glass wine, stove, refrigerator) and outdoor jacuzzi... Location very close with beach ( You may take the water sport with direct access from hotel).

We stay for 3 nights with 4 adults. Segara Condotel is not the first hotel for us in Tanjung Benoa, usually we stay at the other hotel but Segara Condotel make different moment. Bigger room, nice kitchen with complete kitchen appliances gas stove included filtrex, complete set of dining set (spoon, various glass, pot, pan etc), coffee maker and toaster, we can cooking our own food here . Also big screen TV, mini home theatre set, free Wifi able to make like at home. Segara Condotel not only good for family but it also best for a honeymoon couple because it location cool and quiet enough. I will be back to Segara Condotel.

Room Tip: Find the nearest room to the beach.

We stayed 6 nights with 3 adults & 2 children aged 8 & 9. Bedding was insufficient for our group and one of my sons had to sleep on a stained mattress on the floor. The manager was helpful but wanted to charge me for the mattress!! Also, our booking included breakfast - don't expect too much on this one. However again, the manager tried to charge us for one of the boys to eat each day. The room overall was good though the bathrooms could do with a good detail. Dirty under floor mats, shower glass not clean and toilet needed a good dose of bleach!
We also had the privelidge of listening to wailing thru a loud speaker across the road at the temple all day and night for the first 3 days. This made it impossible to get the boys to sleep as it was constant and very loud. The pool was not clean and I wouldn't allow my boys to swim there. The restaurants up the road had pools so we spent alot of time there. The staff at reception were good though one of the chaps had very little understanding of English.
Overall this place served it's purpose but I am sure we could find something cleaner, quieter with a nicer pool down the road next time.

Room Tip: Ocean facing rooms are away from the templ over the road

Dear Maja57

Thank you very much for your feedback on your recent stay.., We have clarified the content of our product and breakfast agreement with your Travel agent in Australia to avoid similar misunderstanding in the future to the customer.

In regards to your inputs on service, we have drilled down the issue till the staff level for them to be more alert in giving best service. Trainings are also given to them to be more consistent in excellence service

As for the noise from local temple, it is actually happening every six months when we have temple ceremony and I am sorry if you are being disturbed by that, as some people find it enjoyable.

Most of all, we will take serious look on your comment and will be ready if you give us a chance to serve you better in your future stay

We stayed for 2 nights in their 2 bed room with special price from DisDus.com. So it is a very great value for this luxury condotel.

It located at the edge of Tanjung Benoa. Near Ramada Suites.

They have direct access to the beach. But don’t expect a private beach. Because the beach also used by water sports agents. You also can see sunrise from ocean view balcony room.

Likes :
• Spacious in Everything : Living Room, Bed Room, Kitchen, Bath Room
• Very Fast Check In & Check Out
• Luxury brand of equipment
• Shower & Bath Tub available
• Great view of ocean from my balcony – equipped with 1 lazy bed
• Direct access to the beach for water sports
• Cool AC in every room
• Complete kitchen appliances : gas stove complete with the exhaust fan, large fridge, 2 sink, complete set of dining equipment (spoon, various glass, pot, pan etc),coffee maker, toaster – you can cook your own food here easily.
• Big sofa in Living Room (especially for non ocean view room) equipped with 42” LCD & DVD Sound System
• Dining table for 4 persons
• Nice pool in the ground floor
• Half butler service
Dislikes :
• Not responsive room service – I asked for exchange of smelly bed cover & pillow case. But they improved in the second day as they make up my room twice.
• Limited breakfast menu – not buffet type
• Location is too far from good restaurant
• Toilet seats looks yellow – but still acceptable
• Noisy sound from water sport activities & buses

Overall, I recomend this condotel if you want to stay together with families & children in Tanjung Benoa.

Room Tip: Ocean View room for sunrise view or Non Ocean View room for more spacious living room

I bought a two night vouchers at Segara Condotel based on their pricing alone. I felt dissapointed at first when I arrived since the front office is quite small. However, all my feelings were changed immidiately when I arrived at my room: there were Jaccuzi, swimming pool and a large living room. The living room was so large that my two kids can actually run around and play inside. The room was very cozy as well. This made my kids comfortable inside and didn’t want to go outside. As for me and my husband, we spend our private time romantically at the jacuzzi to strengthen our relationship. There was a place near the condotel which we could play water sport at a reasonable price. Overall, we are very satisfied with the service, the hospitality and the surrounding views. Hopefully we can stay at Segara in next holiday at Bali, Thank you very much.. from : Lisa Jauhari
