This hotel was booked the night before staying there for an incredibly cheap rate. How this was possible, I'll never know because it impressed in every way imaginable.

As my girlfriend and I arrived at this hotel (conveniently located very near a bus stop), we were immediately blown away by the beautiful views of the town of Interlaken, Aare River and mountains in the Jungfrau region. Upon entering the hotel, the owners were happy to check us in early and hold our bags for us while they prepared out room. After we finished our day's activities, we came back to enjoy a nice dinner and a couple of Rugenbrau beers outside on the back terrace which was the perfect way to watch an Interlaken sunset.

Unfortunately, we were limited to only one night there, but it will certainly not be forgotten. Definitely the best of our three nights in Interlaken. Thanks Jutta and Stephan!

The hotel is owned by a friendly couple who offer a warm hospitality. The place is located on a hill overlooking on interlaken valley and very close to the main road to the lakes. Rooms are nice and clean with a view. Breakfast is rich. We enjoyed our stay and certainly will be back.

It was my second time in this hotel. It's a lovely place to stay at. The room under the ground floor is very big, and it is funitured with a kitchen, which was a surprise to me, because on the booking site it is simply put as a "double room with a king bed". This time, we stay on the first floor. The room is smaller, but still clean and welcoming.
The view from the balcony is a bonus. I think it would be lovely to sit on the balcony for the whole day.:)
It is just one bus stop away from the interlaken est station, not very far, but a lot cheaper for the same quality room, service and breakfast. :)

Room Tip: The room under the ground floor is very big, and it is funitured with a kitchen, which was a surpris...

My husband and I stayed here on August 19th and 20th. A lovely family runs the b and b and made us feel very at home; ensuring that every need is met. Shared bathroom not a problem even though the hotel was fully booked; didn't see another person on our floor. A communal fridge is available for guest use which was so handy. The owners suggested some great side trips which were lovely. A family dog greets you upon arrival which felt like home. Great service and a truly lovely experience. Location is only a 20 minute drive (or they give you a free bus pass) into the center base of the alps for all activities you could want. Free parking was excellent and safe; a concern after our rental car was broken into (smashed window) in touristy Interlaken. We enjoyed staying in Goldswil where this b & b is located. We have already recommended this b and b while continuing on our travels to a family heading to the alps.

We had a wonderful stay at the Gasthof Schoenegg this summer and recomends it to all travellers. The rooms were clean and tidy and lived up to our expectations of swiss quality and order. Remember to ask for a room with a view towards the sea and mountains, our family tried both and it is a plus with the view. There were free bus-passes to the city and we found a nice hikingroute to the city of Interlaken, were we could travel up to Jungrau-region by train. Interlaken itself is a wonderful city with lots of possible experiences for all kind of tourists and the Gasthof Scoenegg provides everything you need for a place to stay while you are there!

Room Tip: Lakeside rooms are more quiet and have a wonderful view.

We have stayed at this hotel 5 times now and have never been disappointed. Very friendly owners who make you feel welcome. The rooms are large with big traditional beds. Very clean and convenient. Lovely views from the back of the hotel overlooking the valley and mountains. Breakfast - enough choice, great cheese. 20 minutes walk into Interelaken, but there are regular buses and taxis are available if a little expensive. Interlaken is an interesting town with nice restaurants, etc.

Room Tip: ask for room with view over the mountains

Gasthof Schoenegg has a wonderful location on the side of a hill overlooking Interlaken in the typically Swiss village of Goldswil. Access to our room was from the outside (rather than an internal corridor) where there was a terrace with a table and chairs at which we could sit admiring the view while our son went to sleep (very practical). Inside our room was nothing special, but it was clean and good value for money for Switzerland. The breakfast buffet was of good quality with a wide selection. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although the location means great views, it naturally also means access is more difficult. It is possible to walk to Interlaken Ost station, but getting back is steep and the footpaths split into several directions (all signposted Goldswil) so it is difficult to find the quickest way if you do not know where you are going. Buses are the best bet - they run from the station at least hourly but at some times of the day half-hourly. Once we arrived we were given bus passes.
