“Fish Tobago Guesthouse”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2013

Fantastic house, terrific and warm service. They made us feel welcome and gave us an awesome tour of the island. Definitely the place to stay if you are going to visit Tobago. The reefs out off of "no man's land" were truly amazing. The guesthouse is small enough to feel intimate, yet large enough not to feel isolated.

when we arrived a fish tobago we were expecting a room with 2 double beds as indicated on Hotels.com . The had only One double bed but within minutes Brandon took care of the problem and another bed was set up in the room for 2 tired travellers. The next day he arranged for a rent a car with the Lady In Red. We found the accomodations very clean, and the hospitality above and beyond what we expected. All in All a very enjoyable stay.

I was a part of a group of 12 that stayed at Fish Tobago. The staff did an excellent job keeping all of us comfortable, giving us freedom to use the common kitchen, sharing grilling time and overall making sure we were all happy. Brandon, the owner, was an absolute pleasure. We were taken out to an island, then taken snorkeling and to an island pool on our last day as well which was the equivalent of a perfect day. We freely were able to mingle with other guests but had the privacy of our own locked rooms. My only criticism was that the group room with 3 bunk beds didn't have an AC unit. There was only one hot night but I had to dig for constructive criticism! Fish Tobago comes highly recommended!

I spent a week at Tobago. A friend from Trinidad told me: "You MUST spend most of you time at tobago, is a unknown paradise to the world" (Andrew). And he was right! I got to Fish Tobago just as a coincidence, but what a good coincidence! The owner is amazing, he makes everything to help you, to make sure you have a pleasant stay! Dinners prepared with the fish you caught... walking around the neighborhood....
Awesome!

Brendon the owner is the best......on arrival he took me for a walk around the area, such a pretty little bay with great beaches restaurants and bars. He introduced me to some of his guests and the local people in one of the bars. The local people are the most friendliest in my travels, have spent many a happy hour with them, love their humour, wit, charm and impeccable manners.
The guest house offers a warm friendly atmosphere.......just loved chilling there with other guests having a few beers and watching the colourful birds in a beautiful garden.
On one occasion 'mama' Joy cooked the guests a wonderful Carribean feast....She is such a character with so many funny stories. Brendon tailor made events his guests. All were brilliant and great value. Spent many an hour on his boat fishing, snorkelling , island hopping etc. also a loved visiting the rainforest, waterfalls and Sunday school is a must.
The guesthouse is kept immaculate by Jen, she is always there with great tips........she was a fellow traveller after two trips to the fish she came back to live and work in paradise.
Brandon will also tell you that toast the dog will take you to the beach and look after your belongings......and he does. He will walk with you to the bars and wait.
Just remembered the limbo night with the guests......i keep smiling because I have so many happy memories

Room Tip: Dorm are excellent and great value. The last night I upgraded to the Sandbank room, lovely room.

it's very close to the sunday school in Buccoo. you shouldn't miss that if you happen to be there on a sunday. the rooms were nice, well-lit, airy and spacious and very budget-friendly. they've online booking system and it's advisable to book in advance as the prices tend to shoot up with time (like plane fares).

Lovely rooms, good prices, very helpful and friendly hosts, who give great advices and show you around. Further, it is close to the beach and not too far from the airport as well. If I go back to Tobago, I'll definitely stay there again!
