“Growing into a lovely spot”
Reviewed July 8, 2014

Started off quite stark but as the years have gone by and with a lot of effort from the many volunteers it has really taken shape and is a delightful area to walk around which I do often.

“Fabulous Amenity”
Reviewed June 26, 2014

Certainly one of the best country parks in the midlands. Delightfully landscaped areas to suit everyone and a beautiful lake too. Plenty of well maintained seating and picnic areas. Great place for the family to stretch their legs.

“Great local facility”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

A great parkland space, with evolving areas dedicated to all kinds of leisure groups. Whether walking the dog, going for a run, BMX cycling, taking the grandchildren to the park, just walking through the woods, a quiet picnic or a trip on the preserved railway, there is something for everyone. It is really well managed and looked after.

“Best Park in Nottingham”
Reviewed June 14, 2014

Having just purchased 2 German Shepard pups I wanted somewhere for them to run free, This park caters for everyone, a fantastic park for the kids, bike BMX course, nature trails, visitors centre, tea, coffee etc, a wonderful pond full of wide life and every bird as babies at the moment, car park, outdoor exercise machines, toilets. The park is divided into coloured zones for dog walkers, some of the zones you keep your dogs on a lead but there is miles of run free a great way to socialize your dog, all are very friendly at the moment, lets keep it that way.

“A Rural Treasure”
Reviewed June 13, 2014

We love this park and visit with our family or dog at least 3 times a week. There is so much to see and do. A beautiful clean lake with a swan family and other birds and fish. Wild flowers. Walks of all lengths.
The park is marked out in areas where dogs must be kept on the lead and large areas where they can run free if they are well behaved.
There is an amazing playground, recently renewed, skateboard area and a Mountain bike track. There are lots of things for younger children to explore, marvellous carved wooden animals to climb on, a maze, a wood make you can explore sounds and a ladybird trail. Just mentioning a few things to look out for.
You can purchase bird food from the wardens office to feed the ducks.
Please visit you will not be disappointed.
