Well what can we say. A warm welcome from Peter on arrival and he showed us the Bollinger Suite. Tastefully decorated to a very high standard and very comfortable. Tea/Coffee facilities and a fridge in the suite which is always a BIG plus for us. Yes the lodge is on a main road but we were never disturbed by any traffic noise. Option to sit outdoors for breakfast was a nice extra if the weather permitted, We thought it was thoughtful that we could ask for anything for breakfast and he would accommodate us ( even sausage sandwiches!!! for our fussy daughter). The full English breakfast was lovely with plenty of tea and toast. Lovely views over the adjacent golf course made this stay exceptional. Thank You We will be back!

Some bold claims are made and these would be difficult for anyone to live up to. It was a comfortable stay but ordering breakfast the night before is never a good idea and a menu (all be it simple) would be a good idea. Luxury might usually involve slippers/gowns and perhaps a few additional bathroom products. The view from the main suite is very nice indeed but this is not a countryside location and there is some traffic noise from the main road. The Bollinger Suite is very spacious and well appointed however the bathroom is in need of a little tlc to match the rest of the accommodation - it is perfectly adequate but in no way luxurious.

We paid £50 for a lovely two course meal (we were charged additional corkage and for coffee). All in all, this was a perfectly comfortable stay but not outstanding given the top end room rate and main road location. Perhaps better value for a family than just 2.

What a find, a real gem. We had an amazing 2 nights here staying at the Bollinger Suite. The décor, furniture, location were fantastic. It is a 2 storey Suite, with beautiful views overlooking the golf course. The living area is upstairs with high ceilings, beautiful furniture, décor very tasteful, no expense has been spared. There is even a fridge with champagne flutes chilled., Peter the owner is so accommodating, you feel so welcome, he cannot do enough for you. Peter is such a lovely gentleman and he obviously takes such pride in providing a top class B&B. The breakfast was superb, we are all 'awkward' when it comes to food but Peter made sure we all had a Full English Breakfast to suit our dietary needs. We wish we could have stayed for longer. If you are looking for somewhere to stay that is top class, private, with excellent facilities look no further, Whether it's for a few nights stay or getting ready for a wedding, or your first night as a married couple this is the place to stay. We think The Lodge at Ruddington is one very special place. Thank you so much Peter for making us so welcome.

Room Tip: The Bollinger Suite is very special

The Bollinger suite offers elegant, spacious accommodation on the second floor comprised by a large drawing room overlooking the verdant golf course, a bright, roomy bath, and an oversized bedroom accommodating three persons, in addition to a first floor bedroom for two persons. The appointments are luxurious and tasteful, typical of high-end properties but nonetheless great value at the price offered, especially for families or larger parties. Peter is an accomplished hotelier who delivers, with the help of an able staff, impeccable service and a sumptuous breakfast. The Garden Suite, his other offering, consists of a fair-sized room for two with en-suite, also nicely appointed though small in comparison with the Bollinger suite. This more modest accommodation opens into a walled and flowered courtyard with separate entry from the Bollinger. Again, don’t miss the breakfast, served in Peter’s airy kitchen.

A perfect stay for the 5 of us, taking over this most beautiful and sumptuously furnished B&B. We can fault nothing. Peter and his lovely Polish assistant made us very welcome, despite our quite late in the day arrival. Overlooking a golf course, The Lodge is very restful and tranquil; we could all sit in the living room together, chatting until the wee small hours, unlike some hotel accommodation where you Re confined to your bedroom. Choose to eat outside or in, the full English breakfast was superb, lots of it and nothing was too much trouble. Oh yes, and don't forget the cat! Alma, Peters very friendly, beautiful, black, Persian kitty, who will melt anyone's heart. Thank you one and all!
