“Worth a visit”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2013

Had a groupon on voucher for the motor museum and although I enjoyed the visit and seeing some of the toys I played with as a child ( 007 case with gun and secret code book) my own kids were not that amused by the visit (two 7s and an 8 year old) mostly due to the fact that they had not seen many of the films or tv programmes that the cars were featured. The play area was very small and my kids felt that they were to big to play in the area. Tend to agree, although they were all well under the recommended size. I would also have liked to maybe have someone on the "shopfloor" to answer some questions but other than seeing the gent at the till when we entered we saw no one else. We did go round the museum in an hour and as we did not enter the play area I would have not been satisfied with the full cost to enter but as it was only £9 for 4 of us it offers good value and worth a visit when its dull and driech outside.

“Cars are the Stars!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 12, 2013

Had a lovely couple of hours at the Motor Museum, this week. Had heard about via some advertising and decided to visit. Is a small, privately owned attraction, worth spending a couple of hours in. Has a small cafe (the owner served our drinks to our table) and soft play - an hours play is included in the children's admission price (which by local competition, is good going). If you are in any way a Bond fan, this is the place for you. Lots of tv films playing back and Bond music to accompany attractions, Bond cars and memorabilia in abundance (THAT white bikini and Daniel Craig's shorts!). In addition, lots of classic cars, including the blue Austin (think that's the make) from Harry Potter, Del Boy's car etc. Also has lots of days gone by toys and cars for old and young. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and nice to visit an independent attraction instead of a corporate soulless one. My daughter also loved getting her photo taken with various exhibits, eg, Monsters Inc.

“fantastic museum,what a find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2013

we went here because we had bought a groupon voucher for a family day out. We were not to sure what to expect or even if our 6yr old would enjoy it. But what a find it is small but packed with detail, not just the cars as I had suspected but much much more lots of outfits and props from the films or tv programmes the cars were in and lots of old vintage toys,(it even has a tardis, made my sons day as he loves Dr Who)it has a shop with lots of interesting things from movies and tv for sale, its got a small but good softplay area, don't think this would be suitable for children older than my son who is 6,but he enjoyed it it also has a small cafe,we had a good but not badly priced lunch, which we eat in the soft play area, you can choose to eat out side this area as well.(one word of warning the food service was a bit slow but it was very very busy so not that much of a surprise. We would go back again its such a good value day out and our 6yr old enjoyed it to.

“Extremely well put together exhibition”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

This place had a fantastic and very informative collection of cars & memorabilia from film and T.V alike, with a particularly impressive James Bond exhibition. Stayed for a great lunch while the kids played in the Monsters inc play area, and we had to go round the museum a second time to take all the detail in. Great value for money, will be back again when we're in the area.

“Good wee place for a rainy afternoon”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2013

We used the groupon voucher which entitled us to 2 adults and 2 kids entry and use of the softplay for £9. The museum isn't huge but it passed a few hours for us and the exhibits were interesting. The kids enjoyed having there picture taken with sully and mike from monsters inc and also happy feet. They enjoyed the softplay and also received a free soft drink whilst I had a lovely hot chocolate. Can't complain and the staff were very pleasant.
