While visiting the Omaha Beach site with friends we dropped by at D-Day house. Service uninspiring even though the place was almost empty. Prices on the menu looked high but who knows, we might get value for money. Not so !!!!!
I am sure this place could be called a genuine tourist trap. To be added as prime example in the WikiPedia description of such a place. Overly priced inferior quality food. What a shame that such a rip-off place still exists. Please stay hungry rather than spending your money so close to the sacred beaches of Omaha beach.

After visiting Point du Hoc and Omaha Beach, we were hungry! We didn't really look for anything else, we just stopped by DDay House. It was about 2pm and still pretty full for lunch. It was chilly out so we had french onion soup and croque monsieur. The food was hot, service was fine. Was it an amazing meal? No. Was it good and fairly priced? Yes. I don't have any complaints about our meal here and would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a quick meal.

..eat here. If you can avoid, by all means do.
Food is the only thing I can't fault (at least not too much). We had pretty basic dishes (moules, omelettes, chicken) and they were quite average for Normandy (which already ranks quite low though). Prices are inflated, like pretty much everywhere in the area.
I can't accept the waitress smoking in the kitchen, or the quarrels between two people (possibly one waiter and the owner) in the dining room. Not professional.
Again, if you can avoid just do...

This was the first place we saw arriving near Omaha Beach. We originally were just going to have a beverage but decided to eat as well. The predominately French menu was scattered with several "American" dishes. If you want a quick lunch and close to Omaha Beach then stop here. Restrooms were clean. A full bar was available as well.

We ate crèpe with meat filling, felt quite sick at night. Thankfully we didn't give it to our children. If we had been clever enough to read the reviews here before sitting down, this could have been avoided. Rest of the food mediocre and expensive.
