We'd planned to eat at this restaurant after our visit to the D-day beaches on the recommendation of friends who'd stayed at the hotel and dined here every night of the stay because they loved it so much.
We were not disappointed. After arriving at 6:30 (2 small kids who eat early) we were informed that dinner was served from 7:30 so we took the short walk down to the beach to sit in the twilight for an hour.
An alternative could've been to stay at the restaurant where they have deck chairs outside.
The food was fantastic. I had dover sole which was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great. There's a certain beach atmosphere where you can imagine chillimg out after a day on the beach. The kind of place where you can imagine them playing Manu Chao on the stereo. And they did.
The staff were extremely friendly and the kids loved it too. We had a long drive home so had to leave after dinner, but could easily have stayed and chilled out in some of the comfortable areas until late under different circumstances.
