We'd planned to eat at this restaurant after our visit to the D-day beaches on the recommendation of friends who'd stayed at the hotel and dined here every night of the stay because they loved it so much.

We were not disappointed. After arriving at 6:30 (2 small kids who eat early) we were informed that dinner was served from 7:30 so we took the short walk down to the beach to sit in the twilight for an hour.

An alternative could've been to stay at the restaurant where they have deck chairs outside.

The food was fantastic. I had dover sole which was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great. There's a certain beach atmosphere where you can imagine chillimg out after a day on the beach. The kind of place where you can imagine them playing Manu Chao on the stereo. And they did.

The staff were extremely friendly and the kids loved it too. We had a long drive home so had to leave after dinner, but could easily have stayed and chilled out in some of the comfortable areas until late under different circumstances.

Highly recommended.

We were travelling through the Saint-Laurent area and looked to TA for a place to have lunch and was not disappointed. The place is low-key and inviting and had a very comfortable feel to it. Our food was excellent. I had a salad which was one of the best I have ever had. Fresh, loads of flavour....I ate every bite.

I'm Belgian and one the best Belgian dish are the mussels with fries. Here you will find the best mussels with cream that I have ever tasted. You have to taste also the "La Sapiniere" cider and chocolate cake and custard. Delicious. You will love it !

This is a great restaurant choice in the area but reservations are required (during the summer and on weekends) because its so popular with regulars and tourists alike. Here, simple but good food is served in a comfortable, casual setting across the street from Omaha Beach with outdoor seating on the terrasse. There's also a lovely garden in the back where you can play ping pong, petanque or have a drink. The staff are lovely and service is very efficient (they're used to being full!). On the premises is also a very pleasant hotel.

Good menu, informal, relaxed seating, nice service! Could even take a swim afterwards at the beach right by.
