We stayed here for a week end of July. This chalet worked perfectly for us as everyone in our party had their own room for some peace but plenty of space to socialise together as well. Mark and Estelle are great hosts with great local knowledge.
The hot tub is fantastic even in summer, and I'd imagine in winter it would be even more of a hit.
Overall we had great time staying here and it worked exceptionally well for us. We would definitely come back again.

We (my wife, 10 year old son and myself) have just spent 2 wonderful weeks at the recently completed (and extremely luxurious) L'Ecuela.
This chalet is ideally located close to the lovely village of St Jean D'Aulps and only 10 minutes from Morzine (a well equipped Alpine ski resort, very popular with British tourists).
The chalet itself is finished in stone and wood panelling and is tastefully decorated in a modern style.
Estelle and Mark were very attentive hosts who catered to our every whim with a very cheery disposition. In fact, they went way over and above the call of duty on numerous occasions.
The garden is beautifully appointed with delightful lime-coloured furniture and a lovely big terrace, fully equipped with a BBQ and dining table and chairs.
The view from the balcony was stunning - even on rainy days (of which we unfortunately endured too many of during our two week stay in the middle of August!)
Overall we were very happy with our accommodation choice for our summer holiday and cannot fault either the location or our hosts.
We look forward to returning to L'Ecuela ourselves, and would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Just returned from a really great break at The Old School and wished we could have stayed longer! Estelle and Mark made us feel very welcome from the start and showed us around this newly renovated property...in fact I think we were one of the first to stay!
The house was spacious, well equipped and decorated in a clean and modern Alpine style. Superb views from the balcony and lounge. The huge log burner in the lounge would be great in winter - but we had a 38C heat wave! Really comfortable beds with good quality linens. Appreciated the nice touches and attention to detail like the coffee machine and the Wi-Fi.
The area is absolutely beautiful with lots of places to explore – but a car is pretty much essential. Try Lac Montriond and the local Abbaye! Our hosts recommended a great spot for swimming in Lake Geneva and also the very picturesque lake-side fishing village of Yvoire…well worth a visit!
We'd like to thank Estelle and Mark (and their three kids) for a very enjoyable stay and we hope to return sometime soon...perhaps for some skiing!
