I've been here several times and every time I learned something new. I have to say I don't really know if the have a lot of info in English, but you can book an English tour. ( it is ashame though that they haven't installed an English page at their website...)

Entrance fee isn't expensive, so you can spend your money at the end of the tour with a nice tasting (but even if you don't like genever, the museum is interesting enough)

I went with a group of collegues and we had in interesting tour, but I also went with my partner and we had some sort of combination ticket with the windmill museum, coffe and cake and a tasting at the museum.

There is an exposition of the genever-making proces, an exposition on history of genever in social life, about smell and taste and temporary expositions, for instance about alcohol smuggling and illegal genever making. Schiedam is a genuine labourers town and genever was a big part of the town's history, which makes the museum extra interesting.

The organisation, the quality of the tour, the tidbits of interesting details. We were with a sophisticated group several members of which hag poohoo'd the idea of goint to such a touristy place, but everyone came out happy ... and not because of the tasting!

The Jenever Museum 'hosts' a festival for the jenever fans.

And unless are Dutch and sporting a corduroy jacket or trousers you can forget about attracting the attention of one of the distiller's agents. After all, this is NOT whiskey nor cognac. It is bog-standard raw gin, regardless of its age.

The distillers might actually post a profit on the event, what with the microscopic volumes poured (price? 1 'stokertje' = 1 euro) Not etactly a brand-building event (by European standards).

2012 was the 3rd venue for the Jenever Festival. With good fortune...
