My husband and I spent two nights here while travelling around Newfoundland and Labrador. Nadine is a very warm, welcoming host who loved telling us interesting anecdotes about the island and who made us feel at home as soon as we stepped through the door of her gorgeous heritage house. This is not a b&b as breakfast is self service, a fact made clear on booking. This could be an issue if all the guests wanted a cooked breakfast and at the same time; however the advantages are that you can eat whenever you want and whatever you want. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked and there were also fresh buns and cookies each day. The location is perfect, next to Nicole's excellent cafe, two minutes walk from the harbour from where we took a boat trip to an iceberg and within walking distance of Fogo Island Inn and a well stocked craft shop. Tip: when travelling to Fogo make sure you get to the ferry at least 1.5 hours early to make sure of getting on as there is no booking system.

.

Room Tip: We had the en suite which is very spacious and has good views.

MEMORABLE GUEST HOUSE....A HOME AWAY FROM HOME........
We have stayed at hundreds of guest houses throughout the western world. Nadine's warm and hospitable home, Quintal Guest House, is at the very top of our list of wonderful places to spend more than a few days. We actually didn't want to leave after four days. We will definitely stay with Nadine on our next visit to Fogo Island. Thanks, Nadine!!

Room Tip: The first room at the top of the stairs is the best size for two people.....

Our 3 night stay at Quintal B and B with our charming hostess, Nadine, was wonderful.
The location is perfect in the community of Joe Batt's Arm, close to the Fogo island Inn, Nicole's restaurant, Wind & Waves Studio and across from the harbour.
Nadine is a wealth of information and she genuinely wants you to enjoy your stay and her beautiful Fogo Island.
We loved her self-serve breakfast style, with delicious baked goods and a well-stocked kitchen.
Her heritage home is immaculately kept and so comfortable. We made ourselves at home in her lovely sitting room, minutes after our arrival! :)
Seamus, her dog, was loveable and always quiet.
Thank you, Nadine, for being the perfect hostess.
We highly recommend your lovely home to family & friends.

Stayed two nights at Quintal House and our experience was a wonderful one. Nadine was absolutely delightful and helpful. She was able to provide valuable information about the area. I have no problem in recommending this B&B

Wonderful home looking right at the harbor , close to all the fun you can have on Fogo....Nadine makes the whole experience work...she loves her place, her guests and her dog Seamus...being able to access the fridge and all her great baked goods just made it so comfortable...beds are very good and her local knowledge provides you with a better Fogo experience....book early if there during the summertime..

Room Tip: all 3 rooms are great
