We have the reviews posted by the other reviewers. Our experience was similarly positive: Maxine and Charlie Dunne are very special people. Our stay with them was far too brief. Their hospitality is second to none.

Their breakfast was excellent, their view spectacular, their kindness inimitable.

We would defintely stay with the Dunnes again.

This B&B was designed to be a completely separate entity from the host's living area. It was was immaculate, and tastefully decorated. The view from all the rooms, including the dinning area was fantastic, providing a grand view of the harbour and icebergs, should they choose to come down this way... fortunately for us, one did! See photo.

We felt like we had known Maxine and Charlie for ever, they made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to please. Breakfast was filling and ready to go when we made our way down stairs.

We stayed in the room "Nancy's Portion", it was a nice size, with it's own private en-suite and a double bed @ $109 per night... a little high for a double bed, but then accommodations are far and few between in this area.

Lucky for us, Maxine and Charlie treated us to a very special night cap one evening, a shot of Iceberg Rum served on a iceberg ice (growler) cube! See photo.

When Google maps shot the area, the B&B section had not been built yet, so you wont see it on google maps, but see the attached photo indicating the building in the middle.

We highly recommend this B&B and would stay again!

Maxine and Charlie made us feel like longtime friends from the moment we arrived. The weather was foul the evening we arrived, but their hospitality was bright and warm and made our time in Ferryland truly enjoyable. We woke up rested to beautiful views of the ocean and lighthouse. The Dunne's are literally a few steps from the Colony of Avalon, the Ferryland Museum and the Southern Shore Dinner Theater - even Ferryland Picnics if you want a short hike. We were sad to miss the iceberg that had been there a few days earlier, but they had saved some of the ice that washed ashore and let us have some for drinks - an experience you'd be hard pressed to find at other accommodations! My only recommendation is to bring binoculars. The views from all the rooms are spectacular and can keep you entertained for hours with birds, ships, whales, bergs, waves and sheep.

We spent almost 2 weeks traveling around Newfoundland this summer, and stayed at 6 different B&Bs and 3 hotels. Dunne's was our favourite B&B! It has a lovely setting overlooking the coast, and our 2 rooms not only had perfect views, but were nicely designed and decorated, completely spotless, and both spacious and cozy. Breakfast was hot and delicious. Best of all, hosts Maxine and Charlie are warmhearted, fun to talk to, and knowledgeable and respected community members. They gave us complete privacy in the evening and great company in the morning. We enjoyed everything about our stay--it was perfect.

We had never stayed in a B&B before so we were a little apprehensive at first, but this place was amazing!!! The view was incredible, the room was immaculate and beautifully furnished and you couldn't ask for better hosts!! A huge breakfast was served to get you on your way and they were so helpful in regards to the country and what to see and where to go. If we ever find ourselves back in that area again, Dunne's B&B will be our first pick!!

We stayed at the Dunnes for 3 days and didn't want to leave. Excellent rooms, food and conversation. This B and B is truely what Newfoundland is all about, down home hospitality.
