We stayed at the Aruba Beach Villas for the second time and we loved it! This is really the place to be when you are looking for total relaxation and the perfect getaway on the tropical island of Aruba. The ocean views from our apartment (we had an ocean view balcony!) were unique, the sunsets were just amazing. All high rise hotels (Marriot, Hyatt, Radisson, etc..) and palm beach shopping malls are very close by car but sometimes we also walked to enjoy the nice caribbean panorama's. If you are looking for really good restaurants on the island I would recommend asking Phil (the owner of the resort), he can give you some good advise how to find the best restaurants in town. We loved in particular wacky wahoo's (for seafood) and Gaucho's for the best steaks.

Room Tip: Consider booking a room with ocean view so can enjoy the amazing sunsets from your own terrace.

We visit Aruba often and Aruba Beach Villas is always our choice to stay at, the staff makes you feel at home, the rooms are clean and well maintained. The ocean is right in front of you with no hectic large hotel atmosphere. Our kids enjoyed the Kayaks and snorkels that they provided to us. It's also close to the best shops and casinos of the island. Ask Phill for the best places to dine he is always a great help. We will definitely keep Aruba Beach Villas as our second home in Aruba.

My husband, 4 year old daughter and I stayed here for ten nights in April/May 2012. This is a mixed review that I believe is not entirely the fault of Aruba Beach Villas -- just some aspects of our stay did not work for us.

Here's what we loved about Aruba Beach Villas: absolutely phenomenal unobstructed view; the fact that we were close to everything but away from the densely populated high rise resort area; a spacious place to stay at a very reasonable price; clean room with daily housekeeping so that we always had fresh towels and clean beach towels; the ocean was only steps away and we could walk the road along the shore every morning and get to it quickly; the fact that we had a kitchen where we could prepare breakfast and some meals, thus saving time with a hungry little one, and money.

Here's what we didn't like about the place: once it rained, the mosquitoes were terrible and we could no longer sit outside on our nice patio, however at the beach and near the other high rise resorts we sat outside all day and ate dinner at night without being bitten (maybe since the villas are in a low-lying area with lots of water -- basically near a swampy area that kind of smelled after it rained a lot); there is no security like at a high rise, so we were kind of on our own and while staying there a break-in occurred to the villa next door that was deadbolted -- that kind of had us on edge for the next couple of nights, we were told it was a rare occurrence, but still, when traveling with a small child, safety is a big concern and we might opt for a place where someone is around 24/7; the pool wasn't very clean; the windsurfing equipment (the boards) were outdated, probably fine for beginners, but my husband after a few days went down to Vela to rent and had much more success windsurfing with what they had.

So overall, we had a really enjoyable time, but for us, we're not sure it was the best fit. If you can live with all of the above, then this might be a good fit for you!

We enjoyed 10 days at the Aruba Beach Villas, located in a comfortable distance from the hotel area and whitin a walking distance to the peaceful Arash beach and the California Lighthouse.

Great people, clean and friendly atmosphere all in a cozy setting looking out over the water... This place is right down past the Marriot and a short walk to any of the shops and restaurants. The place is clean and well maintained and picture perfect for sunsets from the deck. I have made it my passion to go back every year now for almost 10 years! You can get a room overlooking the water or save some money and hang out on the deck which gives you the same view. Try it and you will love it and go back every year like me...

Room Tip: If you want to save a few bucks get a room in back but enjoy the ocean view from the community deck...

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we were very pleased with our experience at Aruba Beach Villas. Wonderful accomodating staff. Our hostess provided us with snorkel gear and even told us the best places to find fish. The people who run the office were very pleasant and provided a very intimate and warm atmosphere. They even put out the grill in front of our room so that we could cook up some fresh Mahi. The room was very clean and our bed was comfortable. They have a nice pool connected to a hot tub which was a nice touch after a day of swimming at the beach. I love the fact that there was a kitchenette and a fridge so we could cook, as the restaurant prices are pretty high for an extended stay on the island. The location was awesome and it was very nice waking up in the morning to a beautiful ocean view. Overall, I recommend this hotel and we plan on coming back because we had such a nice time.

Aruba Beach Villas? Well, if you are looking for something with marble floors, multiple restaurants, crystal chandeliers and champagne delivered to your suite, this is not the place. On the other hand this is the perfect place to relax, take it eaxy, meet a lot of fun peopla of all ages and be as lazy or as active as you want. Windsurfing/kiting anyone? This is definitely the place to be. We stayed in Aruba Beach Villas in 1992 for the first time and this February was our 18rh visit to this place. It has improved over the years very much. As a hobby gardener I especially appreciate the landscaping, it is so well looked after. All the rooms got upgraded, the new pool and hot tub, new windsurfing equipment and list can go on. Aside from great windsurfing we always look forward to be together with the people who - like us - keep coming back year after year. It's like coming home to the family. But even if you are a newcomer you will become member of the family in no time. The management are wonderful people, very friendly, helpful and accommodating (...even if you lock yourself out of your room after 8PM on Saturday night like I did this year...). Same goes for maintenance staff, if something needs fixing it gets done right away. As for accomodation you can get non-ocean view room, which is good if you are light sleeper. Ocean view rooms are facing the road, but it is not busy at night, so no problem there. Also, you can watch the most spectacular sunset every evening right from your own private deck. We appreciate the kitchenett and barbecue, so you can prepare your own meals if you choose so. We found Aruba's restaurants a bit too pricey. If you enjoy taking a dip in the ocean, take 5 min beach walk to the Fishermen Huts. There is a beautiful sandy beach with clear turquoise water deep enough for swimming and shallow enough for kids to play. After windsurfing - or any other daily activity - you can relax at the pool, soothe sore muscles in the hot tub and swap windsurfing stories with friends. If you happen to be a tennis player, there is a great tennis club just 5 min drive from the Villas.
Every day after 6PM everyone gathers on the veranda witn a glass of beer, wine or any other beverage to watch the sunset - and hopefully get a glimpse of the green flash....
Well, another great day in Aruba...
