“What a absolutely wonderful mini vacation”
Reviewed November 18, 2012

The members of Thailand Naturists met for a wonderful weekend. Lots of sunshine, pool time and we are so visited the Hot Springs. The management of Paolo and Arthur were so good to us, good food, conversation and meeting new friends. All members had a great time and enjoyed the resort to the fullest. We got rid of our tan lines and had a good ball game int he pool. The morning sunrise was spectacular.

Room Tip: Do not miss the trip to the Hot Springs. Get the big room for only 300 baht.

I was part of the first naturist weekend at the Oriental Village, when a small group of people from Denmark, Singapore, USA, Australia, the Philippines and Thailand got together to enjoy the splendid facilities offered

The small bungalows with their outdoor and indoor showers rooms are comfortable, and the food is excellent.

Although the swimming pool is small, it was large enough for water volley ball, and the sun beds around it were good for lounging naked in the sun, and looking out over the ripening rice in fields just a few metres away.

Room Tip: The resort is tucked away in a very quiet location so make sure you get detailed travel instructions...

We were the first naturist guests at Oriental Village, near Chiang Mai since the new owners had taken over. We found the visit wonderful, relaxing and just what we needed as part of our naturist visit to Thailand. The bungalows are private, clean and comfortable, and come complete with an extra shower outside. For us, there is nothing better than showering outside in the fresh air!
The views are amazing, stretching across rice fields to the mountain range in the distance, giving an open feel. The bungalows form a semi-circle so are all reasonably close to the pool, which was sparkling and clean. In the still country air each mornng, it was like a mill pond - until we jumped in! The grassed areas would allow many outdoor games, such as petanque, to be played. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort.
The staff were obliging and friendly. The Thai cook made us some lovely Thai meals and washed and ironed our laundry to perfection. In the local village, within walking distance, there is a small shop selling basic items, with a larger one a few km away. Behind the resort is an interesting temple that you can walk to. Trips to surrounding local attractions can be arranged by the owners.
If you are intending to visit, a call to the resort for directions beforehand would be advisable as it could be difficult to find. Also check with them if you are a naturist and wish to be clothes-free.

Room Tip: We had the bungalow furtherest from the restaurant, which was very private. All bungalows are close...

The team is very friendly (speak English, French and Thai) with a the best sense of service we have ever seen.
It's quiet in the middle of the rice fields.
It's a pleasure to use the pool (even if it's a little bit small) and there's space to play outside with the children.
The bungalows are comfortable (fridge, TV, DVD reader...) with a real nice design.
Everything is clean... and the food (Thai and a some French one) is really good.
There's a lot of things to do around: waterfalls, hot springs, (free) National Park, Temples...
A very good place to escape the city of Chiang Mai.
We're planning to go back soon at the Oriental Village.

Room Tip: There will be a family bungalow soon

Very tranquil, beautiful and romantic. If you want a place that is truly Lanna-thai and experience the local way of life, this is the place. Nice rooms, great food and lots to do and see. If you're up for adventure, you can go mountain biking, rock climbing, abseiling down a waterfall. Or something more low-key like cooking class. The best shopping is 10 minutes away at the Borsang Handicraft Village. Yogo, golf and Thai massage also available. But above all, the hosts and their staff are genuinely friendly and will do anything they can to accommodate their guests. I will surely visit the resort again.
