"OMG I am totally ready for this", was my initial thought when my friends and I pulled up out front of the Pooley Bridge Inn. The pub feels like it's been pulled directly from a classic game if D&D (seriously! check out the pics) and it was warm and welcoming to boot.

Travelling around the UK in a Wicked Camper on a super tight budget, the friendly staff were kind enough to allow us to park for free overnight. We had a deliciously filling meal at a fair price and found the location perfect for us to visit all the local points of interest

Thank you

We popped into this pup with our dogs while it was raining as we saw a sign that said under cover area in rear beer garden. The outside seating area was ideal for us so we decided to stay and eat. Everything on the menu is advertised as home made. The ribs that I ordered were the microwaved type that comes from farm food or Iceland and were still frozen in the middle. The chicken dish my partner ordered was definitely pre cooked pieces of chicken with uncle bens sauce on top with raw peppers added also the chicken pieces were still frozen in the middle. The steak pie my friend ordered did in fact look home made and he said it was very nice but the chips that accompanied all three meals were the supermarket frozen type. The pub itself it lovely and the the staff are very friendly and the outdoor seating area is the ideal place to shelter from the rain especially if you have dogs but the food is just not what they advertise it to be and for the price they charge just leads to disappointment.

This place is really nice, looks like an old western saloon almost from the outside. The staff were very friendly and there was a good choice of beer and whiskys on offer, although I did not personally try any of the real ales. Menu looked good also. Nice beer garden out front to soak up the sun.
