“Spanish adventure”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2013

I went to Finca Panoramica with a friend. We were picked up from the airport by Pete the owner and our guide for the week Donas. The transport was provided for the week so we didn't have to hire a car and navigate the Spanish country roads. The finca is in a rural location with amazing views of the countryside. It was immaculately clean when we arrived.

During the week we did two walks, snorkelling, sea kayaking and canyoning. The first activity was a short walk, which I thought was a good way for us to get to know each other and our hosts. By the time it got to friday and we were abseiling down a canyon we knew and trusted Donas who was down there with us. There was a degree of flexibility to the week, so when it became evident after the first walk that several members of the group had bad knees/ankles we did snorkelling the next day rather than the longer, higher intensity walk that was originally planned. We did this a day later instead - the views from the top of the ridge were amazing.

During the week we were also chauffeured out to local villages for dinner, driven to Benidorm for our day off (where Donas recommended a very good Spanish restaurant) and still had plenty of time for relaxing by the pool and having a BBQ. The finca also had a kitchen which we used to make dinner when we weren't eating out.

All in all this was a brilliant holiday in an excellent location. The only issues were the communication with Splash before we got to Spain. We had been given an incorrect list of activities, so I bought a rather more expensive insurance premium than I needed and we didn't get an itinerary/list of things you need to take until 4 days before we flew out. I have raised these issues and was assured that the company is aware of the problem and will rectify it for future guests.

Room Tip: All the rooms looked lovely. We were in the brown room which probably had more shade than most so i...

Many thanks for the comprehensive feedback and it is great to hear that you had a good time on your adventure week with Splash Spain. We are working hard on trying to nail the pre-travel part of our guests experience and hopefully over the slower winter period we can alter our software to ensure everyone gets more info. One of the issues with Spain is we are constantly changing the activities based on the feedback from guests. For example we have now dropped Mountain Biking as the feedback was it was to hard due to the terrain for the majority of our guests. We really are trying to work with our guest to design our services and products to meet the desires and needs of the majority.

Once again many thanks for trusting Splash with your overseas adventure holiday and hope to see you again in Spain/Scotland or one of our more exotic destinations

The villa is positioned in the hills above the Costa Blanca, and benefits from breathtaking views, extensive garden and orchard and a beautiful clean pool. Its so peaceful that the only sounds you hear is the occasional distant dog barking or a wee gecko on the wall. The rooms are more than adequate, being spacious clean and with great showers in the en suits. A great breakfast each morning was made by Donas Peter which we enjoyed out in the sunshine as we prepared for each days activity. Each day we had the chance to do an activity, our group did snorkelling, sea kayaking, canyoning, and two days of walking, one on Calpe Rock and another in the mountains. all of the activity where amazing!! As my friend and I did not hire a car we had Donas and Pete as chauffeurs for the week, they where more than happy to take us into any of the local towns for dinner, or to go shopping which we did on a couple of evenings with the other two girls who where not driving. Credit to them as they even managed to cope with our slightly out of tune singing and dancing along with Spanish radio in the back of the car (Donas was even joining in by the end) This was an added bonus as we didn't have to cook or stay sober!! All in all the experience was second to none, I had a great week, enjoyed some fantastic activity in stunning surroundings and got to meet some great people. I just cant wait to go back again soon!!!

Room Tip: I stayed in the Blue room it was the other end of the house from everything else so suited me fine a...

Hey the singing was great. When our guests are singing we know you are happy and hence we are happy. We will ensure we get some guitars in if you visit us again and then we can up the singing sessions a bit.

Many thanks for trusting us with your adventure holiday and great to hear you liked the week and enjoyed our wee bit of paradise in the sun

Our week at Splash Finca Panoramica will go down as one of our absolute favourite holidays - to the point that we're already planning to go back!

The accommodation is idyllic, with beautifully presented rooms, excellent amenities and breath-taking views. However, the thing that really made the week worthwhile was the fantastic people and the cracking activities! We spent our week walking, snorkelling, sea kayaking and canyoning. As someone who adores canyoning, believe me when I say that the canyons that Splash will take you to are out of this world! Crystal clear water, stunning topography and all the jumps and slides you could ask for! For the more faint hearted, each jump also has a walk-round or abseil option.

The guides instil you with confidence and support you throughout the activities and their in-depth local knowledge ensures that you can get everything out of your time there as you want. The activities are so well planned out that you will also feel like you've had time to rest and do your own thing - which was a perfect balance for me.

I've now told anyone that will listen that they should be heading out to Splash Finca Panoramica for a holiday - trust me, you won't be disappointed!

I have just returned from a week's activity holiday at Splash Finca Panoramica. Flights from Glasgow were very cheap and car hire was very reasonable too. Splash do offer a very good shuttle service but we opted for our own car so that we had the option of exploring at our leisure in the evening etc. The journey from the airport to the villa is really straight forward (with great instructions supplied by Splash on our holiday confirmation). We were in the Red Room which was absolutely stunning, immaculately clean and had fantastic views out over the pool and to the orchard valley beyond.

The week's activities included climbing Calpe Rock, snorkelling, sea kayaking and canyoning etc. All of the activities were great. The sea kayaking and canyoning were outstanding.

One of the unexpected highlights for me was meeting an amazing group of like-minded people and sharing such a great experience.

We will be back very soon!!!!!

Many thanks for visting us at Splash Spain at our Finca in the hills. I know you have been to Splash Scotland as well so you really are becoming part of the Splash Tribe. The adventure weeks to a certain extent are what you make off them and the mixed group you were with certainly made the most of the week.

Once again thanks for trusting Splash with your holiday and we hope to see you again.

Our 2nd time to this beautiful area & outstanding Finca Whether you wish to chill or take part in an outdoor adventure you can enjoy it all. From dawn to dusk the 360 deg vista is a delight.Stayed in the family accommodation which provides everything you need including wi fi. After sightseeing during the day it's great to relax either by the spotless private pool area again with truly amazing views of the hills or in one of the various seating areas you're spoilt for choice of vista. Various routes to the Finca which test your driving skills but well worth it.Excellent base for exploring the area with something for everyone from busy Benidorm to authentic Altea or the heights of Tarbena. Hope to return again to this peaceful sanctuary & the surrounding area sampling the local quisine & more of the surrounding villages & coastal towns.

Room Tip: All spectacular

Just returned from Splash Panoramica situated in the hills above Bolulla, what can I say it was a fabulously relaxing and peaceful holiday with spectacular 360 deg views. The pictures don't do it justice it has to be seen to be believed. Acommodation spotless, spacious and well equipt. The rooms are very tastefully decorated with comfortable beds. The pool is immaculate and very welcoming in the heat. with loungers for relaxation. There are also lovely well maintained gardens with several areas to sit and relax on each side of the finca so you can sit in the sun all day if you so wish. The road up to the finca is a bit windy and uneven in places but worth the effort as you wont be disappointed we will return in the future.

Great to hear you had a relaxing time at the Finca. Most of the time it is full on adventure here but you are correct the Finca is also a good place for a relaxing holiday for those that just want to take in the location and the sun. This week we are back to the canyoning though.

I signed up to the Splash "Ambassador" scheme, and was given a very good deal to stay here as well as to do additional activities in Scotland, but have not otherwise been given any incentive to write this review.

The Finca itself is nicely positioned in the hills above the Costa Blanca, with good views, a tasteful garden and a very nice pool. There's not much disturbance except perhaps from the nightingales which sing all around the house most of the day and night at this time of year - hardly something to complain about! The rooms themselves were very clean and spacious. Donas made us a great breakfast each morning which we had in the sunshine on the balcony. So I'd thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay.

The activities were good and I particularly enjoyed the canyoning, which was something I had never done before. The walks and kayaking were also enjoyable. I wasn't sure that the snorkelling was that worthwhile though, to be honest (the Red Sea this is not), and the via ferrata was quite a long drive away, with lunch on the road.I think if I was running the activities here I would focus on the canyoning, for which this does seem to be quite a significant area. Also I was under the impression before going that we would be doing some mountain-biking - in fact there were no bikes.

Anyway, go. It's easy to get to, a great place to stay, and with great potential for exploring.

Hi

Many thanks for taking the time to write a comprehensive review. Glad you enjoyed our little bit of adventure fun in the sun. This area is not well known for adventure apart from climbing but we aim to change that. You are correct their is a huge amount of canyons in this area so it is really suitable but we try to give our guests a mix as only a few will want to canyon all week. Once again thanks for visiting us and taking the time to write.
