“Perfect place for a romantic getaway!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2012

My husband and I booked a night in the Classic Suite for our 1 year wedding anniversary and had a perfect weekend at WDF. Sampling some of their amazing wines to start at their cellar door and then sitting on our private verandah with perfect countryside views, enjoying a glass of their delicious champagne, was just the perfect start to a nice relaxing weekend. The room was perfect with plenty of added extras that Jo has done an excellent job on and the breakfast the following morning was 5* quality. We will definitely be going back to celebrate another wedding annivesary in the future. Highly recommended for a romantic getaway or a relaxing weekend away from the city.

White Dog Farm is truly amazing!! My husband and I have been there twice - for our engagement and our honeymoon! Jo is a wonderfully kind and thoughtful person whose flair for meeting all your hearts desires for a romantic weekend away is truly unique. The best words to describe the accommodation and all that Jo lays out for your stay is 'magically intuitive'! You will want for nothing!! We are planning a return to the farm soon prior to the birth of our first little girl! Now how is that for three for three of special ways to celebrate special occasions! Thanks for everything Jo! X

My husband decided to treat me for my birthday and booked White Dog Farm. This place is truely amazing. The scenery is beautiful. We stayed in the Cabernet Cottage and it exceeded our expectations. There was so many special little touches that there are too much to list. If you are looking for a tranquil relaxing place look no further than white Dog Farm. Jo and Peter are excellent hosts and do such an outstanding job. Well done. We will be back.

My disabled son went on a school holiday camp so that gave me a RARE opportunity to get away, relax and recharge. I used to go 3 hour south for this but recent years proved you needed to go even further away to get away from the onslought of tourists and family vacationers. But my son suffers with epilepsy so I didn't want to be far away from him in the case of an emergency. So I looked on line and found wdf and tentatively booked- it LOOKED good on line but I was still thinking nothing that good could be so close....
HOW WRONG WAS I??? It has to be one of the top places I have stayed in Western Australia!! Modern and clean but smack in the middle of nature. Luxury and comfort rolled into on perfect package. Jo & Peter have thought of everything, the attention to detail is second to NONE- honestly it verges on obsessive which is all to the benefit of the guest staying. You want for NOTHING while you are at wdf, yet Jo lets you know there is more on offer. Honestly I could not have drempt up a more perfect place for this single Mum of a disabled teenage boy to relax, recharge and reboot to take on life again. THANK YOU Jo & Peter!!!

We stayed at White Dog for our 10th Wedding Anniversary after recommendation by friends. We were not disappointed. Jo and Peter have thought of absolutely everything to make your stay memorable and make you feel so welcome.

Our spa room looked out onto vineyards and bushland and was absolutely beautiful. After a dip in the outdoor spa overlooking bushland, our first night was spent on the patio and watching DVD's with a beautiful antipasto platter that Jo had prepared for our dinner. Breakfast was served in our room and was delicious. We lunched in nearby Toodyay (the local winery/restaurant 500m up the road was closed at the time) and visited Jo and Peter's cellar door for tasting of wines, olive oils, dukkha and some great conversation. Following complementary pre-dinner sherries, Jo prepared our evening meal for us to have in the dining room, a sumptuous 2 course feast with a bottle of wine which we brought with us. A restful evening of more DVD's followed by another wonderful breakfast and relaxing spa finished off what was a memorable weekend. We are already booked to go back in a few weeks!

We stayed at White Dog Farm for one night en-route from Perth to Kalbarri. It is about an hour's drive from Perth Airport and in a lovely rural setting with lots of wineries around. I wasn't expecting much as their website didn't look that great (they've since revamped it and it looks fab now!) and I also couldn't locate any reviews for the farm.

We arrived at about 4pm and were warmly greeted by Jo. We were shown to our room, the Classic Suite. It was a beautiful large room decorated really nicely. The bed was huge and from memory there was a TV and small fridge in the room along with a kettle for making tea and coffee. The ensuite bathroom had a large shower and once again lovely decor.

I was most impressed to note the little touches provided like insect repellent. Nice touch.

We had a sliding door to our room so could access our room without going into the main house. On our patio were some chairs and a hammock.

The main house was also beautifully decorated. Jo and Peter were such great hosts. As it was a Monday and the few restaurants close by were closed, Jo had agreed to cook a meal for us (whatever her and Peter were eating that night) so we weren't expecting anything special but boy, did she pull out all the stops and we had a wonderful 2 course meal and enjoyed every single mouthful. We also had a bottle of their red wine which was lovely and were very interested to find out about their olive oil and wine production.

Nothing was too much trouble for Jo and Peter and we truly enjoyed every minute with them.

Breakfast was as delicious as dinner the night before.

I loved the peace and quiet and tranquility at the farm and would definitely recommend it as an escape from the city.
