“Spectacular! a beautiful one off location”

We had an absolutely amazing stay in the yurts of Runach Arainn. The surrounding location is stunning with a gorgeous beach 10 minutes’ walk away and the rest of the island being highly accessible from this location either using your own car or public transport.

The yurts themselves are unlike anything I’ve ever seen, they are so cosy and equipped with anything you would ever need for a very comfortable stay. The bed was so comfortable and laying looking up at the stars at night was great! The wood burner keeps the yurt so toasty and cook’s food brilliantly. (it’s especially handy if the weather doesn’t permit cooking on the outside fire pit).

The shower and toilet block are so clean and modern, in fact the shower is better than mine at home! and there is a kitchen with a fridge and washer/dryer (this was particularly handy after long muddy walks)

I loved the hands off approach, we had a quick tour when we arrived and saw the owners out and about but they pretty much leave you to your own devices which is exactly what I was looking for in this tranquil peaceful setting.

I honestly could not find fault with it, i loved every moment and would love to return in the future.

“mini adventure”
Reviewed July 25, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We loved our stay in these amazing yurts. It felt like a mini adventure for the two 9 year olds as well as for us two grown ups.

The reception from the owners was warm and welcoming and following a quick tour we quickly settled in.

The yurts were warm and comfortable and with the nearby kitchen and private bathroom we had everything we needed for our first glamping experience.

Highly recommend these as a base for seeing Arran.

“Wow!! A piece of heaven”

I booked our yurt as a secret for my partner this valentines. We adore camping and have stayed in pods and shepherds huts before. We use these in the winter months when our tent can't come out with us. I decided to up the game this year and look for a yurt. I am so glad I did!

The setting of the yurt was lovely off the main road next to an adorable looking church but only a short scenic walk from the most amazing beach.

The yurt itself had everything we could possibly need. I cooked a full English on the wood burner and even a pizza in the oven one evening (I did need to half it to fit)
The bed was really comfy and it was beautiful at night being able to view the stars from the bed out of the yurt wheel. Should you need there was books and playing cards etc and an endless supply of wood to keep us toasty.

The bathroom and utility area was spotless. Amazingly powerful hot shower and towels supplied.

We ate out one night at Whiting Bay in a little place called Felicity's. Which had the most mouth watering steak. Whiting bay was about 20 minute drive and Blackwater Bay about 15. both worth the trip out just to appreciate the scenery on route.

Overall a fantastic place and we really do wish Pippa and Andrew all the luck in the world with their venture. They have made a little piece of heaven right on the most beautiful island. Hat's off to you both!
