If you do nothing else while on Rarotonga you have to do this tour. We did the tour on our 2nd to last day (7 day holiday) after doing bus rides, walking etc and we saw a whole different side to the island. The history, the sites and the people are just amazing. I would recommend you do this tour at the start of your island excursion as you get to see so many things that you wouldn't even know existed until they are pointed out to you. Driving on a road that is quite possibly the oldest formed road in the southern hemisphere (Archaeologists are working on that now) and that was made by hand with stone and wood tools just blows your mind. Seeing where the great fleet of Maori Waka left the shores of Rarotonga from and hearing the stories about why that happened was a real insight into why Aotearoa was chosen to voyage to. This is a must do for anyone, children included as you see the real Rarotonga and its peoples up close. If I had to put a rating on this tour it would be 10/10. Loved it, loved loved it. AERE Ra.
