It was the 6 best days of my life. We had our wedding there at sunset on the beach and it was fabulous. Every one, especially David (the wedding coordinator) worked so hard and nothing was too much trouble. The food was fab, the staff were fab, the room (beachside villa) was fab - everything was fab!

Can't wait to go back!!

We stayed 6 nights at crown beach resort, we stayed in the garden bungalow, the beachfront bungalow and the courtyard pool suit and they were all great, i would especially recommend the courtyard pool suit for couples as it is immaculate, luxurious and very private.
We had our wedding at the crown and the staff blew us away with how friendly and efficent they were and their attention to detail for our special day.
The backdrop for our photos were amazing and just as i had invisioned after viewing pictures of the resort on their website.
After our reception we went back to our room to find flower petals threw the suit and on our bed in the shape of a heart with a lovely gift.
David our wedding planner was amazing and put my nerves to rest with how proffesional he was with taking care of everything giving me more time to relax and soak up the sun with my now husband.
He was lovely from start to finish and really enriched our island experience, we left rarotonga to honeymoon in aututaki for 5 nights and on our return to rarotonga he hand delivered our wedding photos in a lovely album at the arrival terminal at the airport and gave us a lift into town to spend our remaining 5 hours in rarotonga before our flight back to new zealand.
The food we found was fantastic, the cocktails were the best we had on the island and the desert was devine, i would especially recommend the baileys and chocolate cheescake...... pure decedence!
We cant wait to return!

the locationn is way below what presented on the web. the beach is small, uncomfortable and the laguna narrow and it's almost impossible to swim due to the large corals and the very swallow water.
Accomodations are decent but not worth the price. Forget food and drinks. Do you like bugs and cockroaches in your room. this is the place for you. Believe me it's a total waste of money and it will destroy your vacations.
Stay away from it.

Do yourself a favour and make sure you NEVER dine at Oceans Bistro. We had booked an expensive dinner in their beach front gazebo and were beyond disappointed. Our waitress must have been on her first night - she could hardly open the bottle of champagne. The food was terrible - seafood chowder minus fresh seafood (appeared to be seafood exender), asian chicken salad with the same, salty marinaded chicken pieces served in the "raro" chicken wrap at lunch - as far from asian as you can get. The Crown delight dessert "cocktail" topped it all off- tinned fruit served in a breakfast bowl, accompanied by another breakfast bowl with melted vanilla icecream.

To make matters worse, when we returned to our pool suite the room was swarming with insects. We were offered another room and we moved ourselves fairly quickly but the staff admitted they had experienced an insect problem before in our room. This is simply not good enough for a resort charging these prices. There was a curtain and TV chord missing in our new room and the staff had to come back many times to sort this out which further disrupted our night.

We cannot praise this resort and its staff highly enough. If you are trying to decide where to stay when in Rarotonga then we do not hestiate to recommend this property. All the room catergories are lovely however we did enjoy our final 3 day upgrade to a Courtyard Pool Suite (CPS). This property ticks all the boxes with a lovely blue lagoon & white sand, fabulous tropical gardens, awesome sunsets, casual & formal restaurant, continental breakfast incl with also a cooked breakfast menu, friendly staff - and the list goes on. We will be back!
