Stayed in a single room garden villa. Arrived in the early hours of the morning and we were greeted with a juice and a nightshift man who did not quite have the welcoming island feel that I was expecting. However, once we sorted out the mix up with the room and people it was all fine. The villa was right next door to Oceans Restaurant and stage, so we had concerns that we may be kept awake. However, I can say without hesitation there was a wedding reception the first night, then bands during the week and not once were we disturbed by the music/people etc. The room itself was clean and had everything that we needed to get by. The room was cleaned daily and at night the beds were turned down with flowers and candles which was a nice touch. The resort itself is well maintained, the gym is outdated, the pool is clean. There are lounges on the beach, the cushions probably could do with a clean or update as there was mould on them and they are left out in all sorts of weather. The beach swimming is fine but is tidal so we spent our time down at the Fruits for a snorkel. Hired scooters from the resort which gave us all the freedom we needed. Only ate breakfast twice at Oceans and found the quality not quite what I would expect from a resort, subsequently we ate elsewhere for our meals. That was probably the most disappointing aspect that the resort itself lacked the same quality of food as other resorts. However, Wind Jammer restaurant was a different kettle of fish, this restaurant is fantastic, great service, great quality food and fine atmosphere. The staff overall at the resort were friendly and quite happy to push the happy hour along. The cultural night on Thursday was great and as a guest of the resort this was free. There are a number of resorts and restaurants within walking distance and a supermarket directly across the road that has a supply of staples. I am not a traveller that expects high standards, I am a traveller who expects clean sheets and a clean bathroom. Crown delivered in this area, but needs improvement in the food side of the house and maybe an update of lounge cushions. I would stay here again, good location if you have a scooter or you can catch the bus outside. Managed to take a peek at other resorts and Crown would be rated in the middle of the road.

Room Tip: The garden villas are situated around the pool area and to be honest are better then the beach villa...

We stayed in the 2 bedroom beachfront villa which was sensational. The private pool was a great addition. Excellent food and facilities. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Good location and very accessible to key spots. Would definitely stay again.

My wife & I stayed at Crown Beach for 5 nights in June and overall were disappointed. In essence Crown Beach has the air of a hotel where the management have lost interest and as a result the offering is a very mixed bag.

We had a Beachfront Spa Villa, which was quite private and spacious, however, while the furnishing in the bedroom and the lounge area was fine, it was by no means ‘wow’. The bathroom was no more than basic and in line with what we would expect in 1 or 2 star accommodation. On the plus side the room was well maintained and cleaned.

The resort is set in attractive grounds and the white sand beach is nice , however the lagoon can be too shallow for swimming when the tide is out and the currents can be surprisingly strong. Good snorkelling though.

Service was mixed. Reception was very friendly and helpful as was the Windjammer Restaurant. Oceans Restaurant fell well short of the mark in that staff appeared much more disinterested. On one occasion, when we were the only two patrons in the bar area, we ordered a beer and a sparkling water and the server brought the bottles, but no glasses (or offer of them). My wife then asked for glasses, and when they arrived, she had to ask for ice & lemon for the sparkling water. She is still waiting for the lemon! Meantime, the server was hanging over the bar with her head in her hands, chatting to a colleague, both looked extremely bored. On our final morning I discovered what appeared to be a mouse dropping in a pancake. I raised this with the server who said she would mention it to the kitchen – I’m still waiting for an apology or other feedback from her or the kitchen!

We ate in Windjammer a couple of times and really enjoyed it, Oceans’ food, however, was ‘middle of the road’.

The gym was appalling. The equipment was very old, most of the machines were out of order, no towels were provided and the water in the fountain was cloudy. The standard of cleanliness was well below par, indeed non-existent was probably more accurate.

I am, frankly, baffled by some of the Trip Advisor reviews of Crown Beach. We have travelled extensively and have generally found Trip Advisor ratings very reliable; however, this hotel falls well short of other properties with a 4.5 TA rating. We would neither return to nor recommend Crown Beach.

Room Tip: Villa 1 is right on the beach, but you need to walk around the 'tribal reserve' to get to it...

We first arrived with a warm welcome from the front office staff, dined for dinner at oceans restaurant and the team that night were awesome.
Next morning we woke, went to oceans for breakfast and were greeted with a bad attitude from the lady who clearly didn't seem to enjoy her job. That day were we told she was the restaurant manager.
As the days went by, her attitude towards us, her other guest and staff was terrible.
She would stand at the counter eating and talking while taking orders, she would sit down while guest were ignored and call another staff member who would be busy to tend the waiting guest.
She also answered her cell phone while serving us and started talking about drinking.
This lady ruin part of our trip for us and we will not return to Crown beach unless she has gone.
We have never come across someone that is so ignorant toward her guest.
During out entire stay at crown, we loved everything but the service and attitude that we received from that manager.
The staff in both restaurants, the ground mans and the lovely housemaids are wonderful.
We are grateful for the service we received from rest of the staff in Oceans restaurant like Sam, Jay, Martha, Zenya and the rest, they really made our meals at oceans enjoyable.
I hope that no one else will have to put up with the attitude and ignorance that we had to tolerate with from this manager.

We have just returned from 7 fabulous nights at the Crown Beach Resort. The suite (we had a courtyard pool suite) was just beautiful, spacious, and just the perfect place for a honeymoon. The gardens and surroundings were magical, and the staff so lovely . The food was delicious, we especially enjoyed the smorgasbords, the best ever. So exceeded our expectations. The lovely ladies at the spa gave wonderful massages. Vini from reception was so helpful and friendly. Can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Courtyard Suites for total privacy

We have just returned from our second year staying at the Crown Beach Resort and Spa. Last year we stayed for 5 days and this year 10. We could have stayed for another 10. We love everything about this resort and have nothing negative to write. The staff are all amazing, nothing is a problem and all very friendly and helpful. We had an amazing room and felt very spoilt. Seafood Chowder to die for and Crown Delight Cocktails were our favourite. Thankyou Crown Beach for our wonderful 10 days, we will be back next year again :)

We stayed here for 6 nights and absolutely loved the stay. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, the views are amazing and the beach is just beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyed the Island Night held by Crown beach and even had a private dinner on the beach where my partner proposed to me. Such a memorable experience and the staff were great. Snorkeling equipment available in the rooms which is great and they do a "turndown"service every night and put flowers on your bed.
Would love to see more wifi internet deals available as they could only offer $10 for 100mb, have seen other resorts with better wifi deals.
We had airport transfers included and a scooter rental provided on site without having to go anywhere. Worked out at $19 a day.
We were more than happy with our stay here, stayed in a beachfront room Villa 3. Rather pricey for the fact that we were a bit further off the beach with a private ground in front of us, and your lounge faces the beach not your bedroom which would have been nicer. Thoroughly enjoyed our villa location however for the price, a garden or courtyard suite would have been just as enjoyable.
