Myself along with two friends had an absolutely fabulous time at the Crown Beach Resort. We were very late arriving from NZ as our plane was delayed, but when we did arrive nothing was too much trouble. A lovely fresh drink to "revive" us, shown to our villa, the service right throughout our stay - everything was just "spot on". All the staff were absolutely fabulous, nothing was too much trouble.

All our meals were great, the service was great, accommodation was great - I could go on & on....

Our trips around the island were also "great - in fact enduring our awful cold weather back here in NZ makes me wish I was still at Crown Beach Resort in Rarotonga.

I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Crown Beach Resort to any one travelling to Rarotonga.

Just back from a fantastic break in Rarotonga, stayed in a Beachfront Villa for 7 nights . Great service, Super friendly staff nothing a problem. So nice I stayed an extra two nights, sunsets on the beach were amazing, snorkelling straight out from the resort is fabulous. Also live entertainment great including fire dancers and awesome drumming. happy hour - two cocktails for the price of one. Just fabulous. I will be back.

Room Tip: Both rooms were great.

Thank you for your kind words about your recent stay at Crown Beach Resort & Spa.

We are pleased to read that you loved your 7-nights extended stay in the Beachfront Spa Pool Villa, located right on the white sandy beach, just steps from the turquoise lagoon, and with front row seats to daily glorious sunsets.

It is absolutely clear that you quickly connected to Rarotonga's soft heartbeat and achieved total relaxation and re-energised bliss.

We stayed for the last 3 days of our holiday in rarotonga and wished we had stayed here the whole time. Rooms spotlessly clean and very roomy. We booked for the standard garden villa which was lovely and very private. We walked past the courtyard rooms which are absolutely fantastic ( you can upgrade for $79 a night) and well worth it. Private courtyard, plunge pool, amazing bathroom with a claw foot bath etc. we couldn't upgrade because the rooms were full but did to the beachfront units which were the same as a garden villa units but on the beach with a spa pool. The beach front units were more expensive than courtyard but would have definitely chosen the courtyard over beachfront if we had stayed at any time of the year apart from June. It was quite windy and cold at night so we used the spa pool and wouldn't have used the plunge pool but I am still dreaming about the bath and amazing room with courtyard- next time...
Happy hour is great with excellent cocktails at reasonable prices (best in rarotonga we found). Meals were really good at the beach bar and service fantastic. Windjammers- the elite restaurant at the front of the resort is exceptional and equivalent to any top class Italian restaurant. It would be one of the nicest places to eat on the Island and reasonably priced for the quality and freshness of food.
The beach isn't the best in the island for swimming/ snorkelling but you can go to good swimming or snorkelling spots with a 10-20 minute scooter ride or bus.
We will come back to Rarotonga and say here. Thank you Crown Beach Resort.

We have just returned from having 8 nights at Crown Beach and it definitely exceeded our expectations. we arrived at 1am in the morning and after being greeted by a beautiful Staff Member who had a lovely fresh Tropical Punch to quench our thirst we were guided quietly and mysteriously to our Villa. We eventually woke up at 2.oo the next day, missed Brekky but had first of many many meals at Oceans Restaurant for lunch which were all wonderful . we took a walk around the resort and was very curious as to these villas that looked really special behind these high stone walls and some of them looked empty, so I wandered up to the front desk and asked for an upgrade and I learnt very quickly that nothing you asked any of the staff was a problem or to hard to work out so we were upgraded just like that to a Private Courtyard Villa with our own pool etc etc. this villa was awesome and we were so happy we asked it really added to our trip. it was so quiet that we never heard one person getting around, no rooster crowing, nothing..........it was Blissful. I mentioned in my Title it was the whole package and it was, the food, accommodation, staff , spa and location were great. we especially have a very soft spot for the concierge "Rita" who went above and beyond her call of duty, Rita helped me pull off the most romantic, secret dinner for me and my husband, she knows what she done that was so special so no need to mention the details, but without her help it wouldn't have been the same, Thanks again Rita, you are a very special person. We had one of our most restful holidays because of this place, the staffs nature and respect for your privacy go along way when you are tired and sick and stressed from living in a high pace world, well let me warn you their moto over there is chill, relax, it is great and didn't take us long to join them. we went to a church service on Sunday that we were there and it was very fulfilling for two people who don't ever attend church. we hired a scooter, a must do. Thanks again to the staff of Crown Beach for a true blue relaxing holiday and Kia Orana to you all.

Room Tip: Couples definitely chose a Private Courtyard Villa, its not much more price wise but the difference...

Our stay unfortunately was only to be short but this resort certainly had a HUGE impact. WOW we felt like royalty and it didn't disappoint at at!! Upon opening our double 'castle like' doors we were over whelmed to see a courtyard with a pool and cabana and chaise lounges! As we walked in side there was a large bedroom together with a lounge area TV/sound system up the 'corridor' was a kitchen and wardrobe THEN towards the right a bathroom fit for a 'king' - double shower and basins!! All of this for TWO!! So private!
The villa had everything you could possibly want - coffee plunger, assorted teas, umbrellas and ironing board plus more!! All wonderfully clean
The reception/bar/breakfast staff were so happy and helpful! Always smiling and nothing was ever too much trouble. Happy Hour 2 for 1 - FANTASTIC!! Try the Tsunami - yum yum!! We took ours back to our own 'castle'!
This resort also has scooters available to rent which is great fun!!Try one and travel the island but remember NOTHING is open on a Sunday other than the resorts! The resort recommend you DONT swim in the sea at high tide due to strong currents.
The Wind Jammer restaurant is worth a visit.

Room Tip: Courtyard Pool Suites were very private and quiet

After surfing the net looking for a reasonable place to stay for 9 nights we settled on this resort. We weren't disappointed. In our view all the advertising was true! We had a walled courtyard villa with our own small pool. The villa was beautifully appointed. It was very clean. Rooms made up on a daily basis. All resort staff went out of their way to help us and other guest staying there at the time too. Great Happy Hour ( 2 for 1).
This resort, unlike a lot of others on the island, offers full waitress duries all the way from the restaurant to the sea shore - where tables and cabanas are set up for dining watching the terrific sun sets - magnificent service.
Should you have the misfortune of breaking a drinking glass ( tumbler) attempt to replce it from a shop in town.To say we we were shocked to find we hade been charged NZ$10.00 for a brokenglass is an understatement. One could possibly have purchased half a dozen from one of the larger stores on the island for that price. Very disappointed with that charge and felt ripped off considering the rest of the stay was nigh on perfect.

Kia Orana,

Thank you for your kind words about your recent stay at Crown Beach Resort & Spa.

We are pleased to read that you enjoyed your 9-night stay at Crown Beach Resort & Spa.

Our marketing team do their best to project realistic imaging & advertising messages about the resort product and service to ensure guest expectations are met (and hopefully exceeded by the time they leave).

We are equally pleased to read you enjoyed the genuine Polynesian service from our team of 85: Warm. Unpretentious. Island Style.

We apologise for the replacement charge for broken room chattels. All our glasses are imported from hospitality industry suppliers in New Zealand and not from local shops on the island. Breakages require replacements that are shipped in at regular intervals.

All in all, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you both again, soon.

Our stay was heaven although short we are planning to make it a longer visit next time. Our Villa was perfect with the big pool a few steps away and the restaurant with the beautiful ocean as a backdrop was a view I will never forget. The locals are so wonderful, friendly, helpful and honest. Our experience on the Koka Lagoon trip just top off our visit to Rarotonga and we are definitely returning for another holiday
