Lovely gardens and a great location,
I have visited a few times and was let down with my last visit.
The sea food platter is very big, a huge feed for two people- mussels, oysters, scallops, shrimp, prawn twisters, king prawns, battered fish and Ika Mata.
Ofcourse, the shellfish is imported from NZ, so you expect that to be not as great as you would get there, but I expected better with the fish. The fish wasn't bad but the Ika Mata had a strong fishy flavour, definitely the worst Ika Mata I have had on the island.
The deserts are good.
I really do not feel that this restaurant deserves it's 4 star rating. I would not reccomend it, there are pleanty of much nicer resaurants in the area within the same price bracket.
As I have visited before, I do not feel as if this can be explained by the owners being over sea's.
