“Just a real fab place to dine”
Reviewed August 17, 2010

The location right on the beachfront, either on the deck looking out between the palms at
the lagoon, or sitting right amongst the palms on the beach, just meters from the water,
the sunset on a nice evening, the best fish meal I have had in a long time (parrot fish
perfectly cooked, leaves the usual mahaimahi, tuna, types for dead) the pleasant approach from the staff, incl. the chef, the realistic prices, including wines that we would
expect to pay 50% more for in NZ, all overseen by the wonderful hosts, Chris and Asiki.
And if you are real lucky, some nights Tani will play guitar, a perfect background.
A wonderful ambience, and a place that would be first on our list when we next return to
Rarotonga.

“Stunning Location for a Sunset Dinner”
Reviewed August 10, 2010

Hidden away down a small lane on the Western side of the island we found this place by accident but then discovered that friends had recommended it to us but gave us the wrong name. The setting is glorious especially at sunset with tables on an open deck immediately behind the beach and some scattered on the beach among palms. It is true the menu is limited in choice but everything on it sounded great and we tried two of the mains which were both delicious, well presented and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly but efficient and attentive and the setting just cant be beaten. On our second visit the owners son played guitar and sang some quiet and relaxing melodies which fitted the mood perfectly. Other friends have since visited and were just as impressed.

“Found it by recommendation, but ate there twice by choice!”
Reviewed June 26, 2010

Barry at Magic Reef recommended we dine here , and what an experience. First night with friends , we all thoroughly enjoyed both the location, a table in amongst the palms on the beach, and the last night just the two of us, and just as special. Food superb, not over the top as some claim, extremely good value.
All that dined were happy with choice on the menu! We went twice, and would be back, for the service, and the atmosphere, and most importantly the food!

“What a view - hidden away....”
Reviewed June 10, 2010

Found this place by accident - deserted in April as they were doing some construction work on a 2nd gallery level. Enjoyed a local lunch and the lady was great in showing the kids how to open a coconut from the beach...which is literally 6 feet away from your eating area.
