“Excellent property in great location”
Reviewed March 30, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

we stayed here for one week in March. The property is lovely and even managed a few afternoon coffees in the suntrap garden in March! Elie is a lovely base to explore the east coast from and everything was exactly as expected from directions to facilities. We will definitely be booking again.

It's a great area to explore whether you are on foot or in the car. Sunshine is always a bonus and with the sunken patio area we manage to keep out the wind. Look forward to having you back.

“Quality”
Reviewed May 7, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

My husband and myself stayed in St Johns over the Easter weekend along with my daughter, husband and 2 grandchildren. From the enquiry to our arrival everything was very easy. Directions to the house were easy to follow and Suki advised that should there be any bother just to give her a ring.

The house was perfect for us, kids loved the bunk beds and the cupboard full of games and books (change for their ipads) Weather was good so were able to use the outdoor sitting area which I would imagine in summer is beautiful. living room/kitchen area so comfortable and easy to relax in.

We only used the kitchen for breakfast as only a short stay but if staying longer it was equiped with everthing that you would need and of good qualtiy.

You are a couple of minutes out of the front door and you are on a lovely sandy beach, great for a nice evening walk. Great eating place at the pub just along the road accessed from the back door and overlooking the golf course. Kids reckoned the best beefburgers they had. Pub has a great back room which lets other diners enjoy their meal without young children but homley enought for adult to enjoy their meal.

Service was excellent from owner, As the house not occupied Suki contacted to say that we could get in anytime on arrival day and no hurry to leave unless she obtained a last minute booking.

We would not hesitate to go back to this accomodation or Elie.Never had visited this part of Scotland but very impressed. lovely surroundings.

“Great flat in excellent location”

We enjoyed staying at the flat - it is ideally placed for both beach and golf. Very close to Golf Tavern (19th Hole) and with a parking space. Easy access for bikes through the back entrance. House warm and comfortable and Suki was easy to get in touch with and very responsive. We would recommend it.

“A splendid place to stay ...”
Reviewed January 10, 2012 for a stay in December 2011

We, myself + Husband + 2 Labradors, stay in this flat at least once a year (always out of season - the village is quieter at these times). It is always made easier by the owner's kind attitude to our odd date requests and the welcoming and cosy way Mrs Stobbs has the flat for our arrival.
The flat is furnished in the manner of comfort ... sort of shabby chic. It is essentially a holiday flat, cosy and clean with comfortable beds which are well presented. There is wi-fi, 'freeview' , cd / radio, etc. It is all there.
From the front door you can access Elie beach, within a few steps. The back door accesses the garden and through to private parking and out onto the golf course. It is excellently situated and perfect for all our needs. It is so easy to walk our dogs from this flat. A doggie paradise for responsible dog owners.
We have just spent Christmas there - everything we needed to prepare for the day was available, including a Christmas tree.
We had a lovely time and would recommend St Johns as a super little holiday flat.
Perhaps one small criticism - maybe a curtain on the street window would make it just a little more private.

Management Response
Jan 18, 2012
It is always a pleasure to have returning guests. We are happy to be flexible on start and end dates outwith the peak months of July and August when changeover day is a Friday. Nothing is too precious in the property, we welcome dogs, children and the inevitable sand.
I think a voile curtain on the lower half of the window would be a great idea in the sitting room as it is a very large window onto the street. At the moment we like people to look in and see what a welcoming place it is inside but I agree, a choice would be a good thing.
