We arrived, via taxi, in the most lovely vineyard and were immediately greeted with a glass (our weapon) of delicious wine. After a very interesting and relaxed tour of the vines by Joe, who was an excellent guide and host, and a chat about how the wine is made we were invited inside for our meal. Wow! What a building! What a view! The table was gorgeously set and I have to say, the five course meal that Liz had made was spectacular. I would highly recommend O'Vineyards and I only wish we were staying there rather than going back into Carcassonne. We will be visiting again (if they'll have us!).

We found out about this place through the France show in London and decided to follow it up. We booked a long weekend in carcassonne and a trip round the vineyard with a meal. We really didn't know what to expect and we're really surprised by the warm welcome we received! The evening started with a glass of wine in the family kitchen with liz followed by a tour round the vineyard sampling many more wines. Dinner was served in the living room round the table with the other guests. There was no menu, more like a family meal with many delicious courses, all accompanied, of course, by joes fantastic wines. This was a completely different experience to an ordinary restaurant and one not to be missed!!! Thank you joe and liz

Despite being difficult to locate we eventually got there despite the GPS! Some road signs would be advisable to help patrons arrive on time. The place is magnificently located with views in all directions. We were a table of 9 and there were two other couples present. We were shown around the vines by the crazy American, Joe with dog Muse. He explained his philosophy and answered questions about the vines, soil, climate etc. we were soon amongst the barrels sampling a couple of reds.
It was then upstairs to the very well appointed lounge and dining room. We sat around a large table with Joe and Liz also joining us. The food was well prepared and despite not being gourmet was extremely palatable and amounts were generous. Wines are served thruout and for € 55 you definitely get value for money.

Finally made it back home after our tour through France and Spain, it was long but it was a wonderful experience, made even more exceptional by our visit to your B&B!!. We felt like we were visiting family or really close friends, all of us are extremely grateful for all the attention, it was definitely the highlight of our grand tour.

O'Vineyards offers a very different experience from the more commercial appeal of American vineyards. It's more like being served a dinner at the owner's home. The tasting room is lovely and the food was home cooked, based on typical French fare, each course served by the hostess. What is outstanding is the wine. There is no wine pairing but the whites and reds offered with the meal flow generously, flowing with easy conversation.
