There is a variety of art work and some very creative pieces. Give yourself a solid hour (or more) to walk through the trails.

This little spot is worth the stop on the way out to Roche Harbor. We enjoyed touring the fields and looking at all of the beautiful and eclectic art work. It was a great place to take photos and enjoy the sunshine.

WOW! A great place to have a picnic with the family. Unique sculptures everywhere! A big pond, tents, benches, a porta john. Very cool. Inexpensive - like $5. I will go again and again.

If you are a bike rider (bicycle or Motorcycle ,and a novice one at that) then this is the trip for you. The speed limit is 30 klms. Only the highway to get there is a drag when choosing this kind of transportation.
We try to make this trip at least once every year because you can be set up before dinner either at your hotel or you camp site. The first Island is Friday's Harbor. Do these Islands in order and you pay only once . We found out and paid more than we should . I will list them in order. Friday's Harbour has an Orca Whale watching site at the other side of the Island. Don't forget to go to the winery with the wine called Mona. Mona is a camel who they will point out to you an an adjacent property. Camp or get at room at the Lakeside Resort. Next is Orca Island ,I call it the artsy island. It has the sculpture park and hanging mobiles on the trees. Camp at the rustic Doe Bay Campground or State run Moran Park . Doe Bay is unique and a must see for the flower child in you. Lopez is the last island and you can camp at Spencer's Spit state park is located on the beach with 37 tent spaces. You can do this trip as a two or three day weekend from Lower Mainland BC.

Be sure not to miss the sculpture park across the street from Roche Harbor Resort. Over 100 pieces in the 17 acre park that has nature trails and summer programs for kids.
