“Great adventure”
Reviewed February 3, 2010

I would say the complex is quite nice. We stayed in the cabanas, we were assigned to phase 2, which is quite far from the cable park. By "far" I mean a 5 minute walk, which we all didn't mind at all. The cabana we stayed in was clean and comfy. It was really good and cheap for its kind. I did notice marks/holes left by cigarette burns on the bed sheets, but we ignored it anyway. The shower had hot water, but it's a bit hard to measure, a tiny tilt to the right you get cold water, a tiny tip to the left and you get really hot water. At night, our air conditioner won't turn on. Since we were too tired, we didn't call the management anymore (no phones inside the cabanas, and the lobby was far far away). It was breezy that time anyway so we were able to sleep without the air conditioner on.

It's a great place for friends who want to hang out. I was with friends who aren't really the outdoor type, but we enjoyed a day of wakeboarding. You will receive free lessons if you're a beginner, so don't be afraid to try it. The wakeboarding rates are also quite cheap - less than 400 pesos for half day, and 90 pesos for the gear (but they do require 500 deposit for the gear which they will give you back upon return of the gear).

if you're a hydrophilliac adventurer or would like to try extreme sports, this is the place for you. Best cable park in asia, great food, great staff and best of all, exceptionally affordable. Cheapest wakeboarding rates. great view. And by the way, don't forget to bring analgesics or pain relievers for you'll definitely be in pain because of the addicting thrill of wakeboarding. A few hours isn't enough. For sure!

Their cabanas rooms are very clean and new with hot water at the bathrooms, cable TV and airconditioners. Free ride going to the wakeboarding park.

I and my partner went to Naga City for the Penafrancia Fiesta last September 17. We decided to stay at CamSur Complex even thought we know its 7 kms or so from the city of Naga than staying in the city but it;s not a problem because we have our own car to drive anytime we want to. We arrived at the CamSur Complex on the 17th around 12 noon but the people at the reception can not locate our reservation for the cabana. We had our reservation from 17th to 20th and I actually sent my credit card info to Ms Frelyn Imperial to get the room reserved and was charged Anyway, the rooms are not full so it will not be a problem for us to stay there and even the most expensive Villas were not full so we decided to stay at the Villas for 3 nights for 5K a night. The villas look nice from the outside, they have a big pool that only the villas guests can use, the bed are ok but started to get sag in the middle, The bathrooms are big but a little dirty and can see unfinished job from the ceiling. By the way we stayed at the Villa 1. But during our first night, we had problems with the power, they cut off ,or i don't know what happen, in the middle of the night, power went off so I went to the reception, no way to call the reception because no phone so have to go out of the villa in the middle of the night, it was raining then, asked them why the reception and the rest of the complex has the electricity and the villas doesn't have. I think it happen 3 times that first night. Then the next day, we still got problems with the electricity and beware of mosquitos. In the morning I ordered breakfast from their restaurant at The Mansion, as what they called, and the breakfast arrived in a styrofoam meal box. We felt sad because , we are paying 5000 pesos a night and delivered the meal in a styro and several power failure during the night.

Everyday, I always asked for the the resident manager, if there is one, to talk about the problems but, everyday, they said not in duty. I hope the people of the Capitol who handles the business with this complex will do something, especially the Governor, not just by adding cabanas, or cabins, or villas, but a quality service.

We had fun in Naga City but the villas is not worth remembering.

The rooms are actually individual cabanas and refurbished container vans meters apart from each other. I was assigned a cabana quite far from the wake boarding lagoon, on an overnight stay. Camsur Watersports Complex is located in Pili Camarines Sur, quite close to the airport and provincial capitol. Having said that, security is not a problem even if the resort appears hidden and secluded. There are provincial capitol guards and policemen all over the place.

The lagoon and waterworks are perfect not just for wake boarding but for families on a summer picnic. A restaurant by the lagoon serves food, refreshments and even beer. CWC also accepts reservations for conferences and RnR.

The cabana has its own dressing area, toilet and bathroom, TV, and air conditioning. Like many cottage type accommodations in the Philippines, the cabana is made of light materials (wood and bamboo) on the outside, with concrete, finished interiors. The resort is located in the middle of what appears to be a former rice field. Insects could be a problem at night as they are drawn to the light of the room so make sure the screen doors and windows are always closed. For female guests, it is advisable to be conscious of the windows by the dressing area and check for "peeping toms". Anyone can just go around the cabanas at night and look through the windows, especially at the back.

It also rained when I stayed at CWC and since the cabanas are meters apart from each other, getting wet on the way to the room is unavoidable (unless you have an umbrella but that's so uncool). And since the cabanas are separated by fresh grass or bare soil, keeping the room cleaner can be a challenge. Ask for a rug or take off shoes before entering the room.

Room service could also take a while especially if one's cabana is at the far end of the resort. It took forever for me to get the extra towel I asked for. Supplies at the resort's convenience store are also limited so it pays to bring bottled water, small snacks and medicines. That's why I can only recommend this to wake board enthusiasts or travelers up for some water play.

If you're not into rugged action, don't stay here.
