+ve:
We stayed in their new building (separate to the original building which reception is in), which had brand-new large rooms with a modern feel, nicely appointed bathroom and new flat-screen TV.
There was always at least one staff member working who spoke good English. All were friendly.
Breakfast was pretty good, although they could slightly improve their range (eg proper muesli, fresh fruit lasting through until later hours). The hotel also runs a restaurant which we thought was very good and priced on par with most Italian restaurants. There are also a number of [apparently since we didn't go] very good restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk of the hotel.
Internet worked well - fast and constant.
The bed and pillows were VERY comfortable - the most comfortable we've had in our whole 6 week European trip.
The aircon worked very well - temperatures were around 30 degrees Celcius while we were there, stayed cool the whole time.
The hotel is a great location [for the price] - it is about a 30 minute drive to Venice. The hotel staff give you a page of instructions with 3 options (of varying price) for parking at Venice.

-ve:
The only negative I could have is that the aircon stopped working at 9am on our day of check-out. It then got quite hot in the room. I asked staff about it, they said the computer shut it off because it assumed we had checked out - not really acceptable, as check-out time is 11am! I'm not going to down-rate the hotel because of this, as it was a simple mistake that they will hopefully fix if they read this, and everything else was great about this place.

Stayed here for the weekend based on previous reviews, and was really pleased we did. The hotel is located in a little village/town and is only 10 mins walk from the railway station, where a train into Venice costs only €3.25 per person.
We arrived at the hotel late (2200) and after checking in, the receptionist immediately got us a cup of tea and a plate of biscuits - very much appreciated.
On the second day, we left some money (inadvertently) on a table in the lounge, the next morning the receptionist came over to me at breakfast and handed me the money, which she had picked up the evening before.
The staff were very friendly, very helpful with travel arrangements - I will certainly be returning for a longer stay.
A very highly recommended hotel

A word of advice if you need to leave your luggage in Venice on day of leaving - do not use the left luggage at the railway station. It is expensive (1€ per item per hour) and there was a queue of about 30 people waiting to deposit their luggage, so a considerable wait. We walked across to the bus station (200m) where there is another left luggage store and no queue. There the rate is 7€ per item per 24 hours.

I was there last week to attend the opening of the Venice Bienniale, which was also amazing. Albergo Antica Corte Marchesini is about a 35 minute drive/bus/train-ride from Venice proper. The bus and train are both within a charming 5-minute walk through a storybook of an old Italian town, dotted with lovely old houses and occasionally breathtaking landscapes. This is one of the few times I've stayed anywhere without even a single negative. The room was deliciously rustic, and had wonderfully old-world wooden beams all over the ceiling. In contrast, the bathroom had great modern deign elements including an ingeniously thought-out adjustable height mechanism within the shower apparatus. Breakfasts were terrific, especially the ham and salami assortment, and stellar breakfast cakes and pastries. The workers are delightful, truly. I was lucky to spend time with an impressive young lady named Ariana, who was eager to explain the best ways to get to Venice, and was extremely pleasant and helpful. I very much look forward to staying there again on my future visits to Venice.

This hotel outside of Venice is wonderful in all the right ways. The rooms are clean, modern-looking, and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts in the mornings are very satisfying. While some may consider staying in or closer to Venice for convenience purposes, getting away from the constant hustle and bustle of the city is a good idea as well, and staying here instead of in the heart of the city would most certainly not disappoint.

Also, one night we ate at the restaurant directly beside this hotel and the food was spectacular!

This hotel is outside of Venice and it takes 40 minutes (not 30) each way to get into the Venice train station. For two people it also costs about $17 a day plus time. The train station is a quick 5 minute walk and takes your directly into Venice. The hotel has a large safe parking lot, don't try to drive to Venice its not worth it. If you don't have a car with you, the time and extra $17 a day make it worth staying in Venice and get the mornings and evenings on the island without the crush of tourists.

As for the hotel itself, it was great. Large rooms, comfortable beds (20+ different hotel rooms this trip and this was the ONLY one that didn't give me a sore back), very friendly front desk, and a great breakfast spread included. The hotel was a 5 out of 5, but if we were able to stay on the island without our car...

Dear Jamesb847
we apologize for the inaccuracy concerning the duration of the transfer by train to Venice but this is also due to stop the trains run in Mestre which can be longer than expected, however the train remains the best chance to reach the romantic and enchanting Venice.

In addition, our location is strategic from Venice because it allows you to visit more reality in our region and thanks to our area you can leave from the busy life of the city that help you to rest better and relax.

My partner and I were looking all over Venice for a quality hotel that was welcoming on the inside and outside.

We realised that staying in the city centre of Venice would be busy, noisy and expensive. Therefore, we opted for a hotel which was situated only 30 minutes outside of Venice in the beautiful Italian countryside.

The hotel itself is beautifully presented and carefully designed with modern and artistic features. From the moment of arrival, we were welcomed with refreshments and a smile and we knew that this was the place for us. The staff were very friendly and spoke English very well. They told us about the area, travel situations and all about the best places to visit in Venice.
The room was spacious, modern and had brilliant facilities. After a busy hot day in Venice, it was lovely to return to a clean and air conditioned room.

The hotel restaurant offered some delicious delicacies from a range of home-made pizzas to delicious pastas and seafood dishes. The service was good throughout and the prices were very fair.

Being English and big drinkers of fine Ales, we had to adjust to the lager and wine lifestyle which was fine, however we noticed most people where we stayed did not sit out for drinks in the evening or want to socialise with another guests. This was a personal matter and not the hotels fault; however a better ambience and atmosphere would have been great!

Overall, we would certainly return to this little sunny paradise.

Why is this hotel a 3 star hotel? It should be a 5 star hotel! When we booked this place, we didn't realise it was a good distance from Venice, being from New Zealand where everything is relatively close to each other. But it was the best decision we made. Venice was such a busy place with so much happening that it was lovely to get away to this wee country town and just enjoy the peace and quiet.
We are Deaf and the staff were amazing - they were so accommodation and on the night the restaurant was closed, one of the lovely ladies ordered pizza for us and we were very appreciative of this.
It is a lovely wee town and we enjoyed walking into town - we hardly saw anybody which was refreshing from the hustle and bustle of the cities.
The room was very clean, very comfortable, breakfast was excellent with the different choices. I loved the building and would just marvel at it, especially after having seen the before photo on the wall. They have done a beautiful job on it! The food in the restaurant was delicious as well!
