“Picturesque by the sea”

This property is beautiful. We ate all our meals on linen covered tables outside (with umbrellas as needed for sun). All of us enjoyed the pools and easy access to the ocean below. Though our room was on the small side and didn't have air conditioning, this was still one of the most relaxing two night stop on our trip through Italy. Very good food and service by staff.

We stayed five nights at this little hotel after reading the good reviews on Tripadvisor. This is a lovely family-run hotel with a great rustic feel. We arrived by car from Florence and stayed for five nights. The panoramic views, great pool area and authentic feel to this hotel made it a great stay for us. The hotel might be a little rough on the edges, but we loved the authentic feel. The rooms were clean and we asked for a fan which did the trick as there is no a/c (probably the only negative thing about this hotel). We ate on the fantastic terrance which has great views over the Mediterranean. The waitress Lisa spoke excellent English and was always on hand to serve coffee, lunch and dinner. The other staff at the hotel were lovely too. The food was lovely and home-made, we had only hoped there was even more food on the shared seafoodplatter. We also had dinner at the little fish-restaurant by the sea in Quercianella which was just as good. Free Wifi all over the hotel, including by the pool. Bring swimming-shoes if you want to swim in the sea here, as it is very stony. We had a day at the sandy beach in Vada which was great. This hotel is a romantic spot that we can recommend to anyone wanting a holiday a bit off the regular tourist-trap in a peaceful location.

Had a nice stay here for four days. Highlights were the food (we booked half board) and the sea views from the big pool area. Also service whilst having diner was great. Lowlights were the heat in the room at night (no airco), only partially solved with a ventilator after 2 not so good nights. The bathroom was smelly, so had to keep that door closed at all times. Not good, given the hefty price we paid.
But the enthousiasm of the staff made up for some of this!

Coming to this fantastic place with 3 children was a grate start on our vacation. We had a big family-room with 1 dbl and 3 sgl beds, large cabinet that fited all our cloths, balcony with a amazing view over the terraces, pool-area and the sea. Very good service from the waitresses, lovely food and wine. We just loved the smal oases with the flowers, vegetable-garden and the lounge-area.
We all fell in love with this place and are definitely coming back here.

Room Tip: Choose a room with balcony and sea-view

9 days in Tuscany and on our way from Scansano to Genoa we were a little late in trying to find a hotel one night. We drove in to Quercianella as we had see a sign pointing to a hotel that way. Luckily I don't think we found the hotel that was being advertised and instead stumbled upon the Villa Margherita. An absolutely beautiful place right on the sea and with its own pool. Don't be put off by the reception area which looks a bit dark and dingy, you just check in there....concentrate instead on the nice clean crisp rooms, the fabulous outside restaurant, the pool, private beach, the staff that will do anything for you and the really excellent restaurant food. Italy at its best and highly reccomended!

Room Tip: try for rooms overlooking the pool and restaurant

We stayed for a week at the villa Margherita it's a family run hotel and all the staff were extremely friendly and could not do enough to help you. The food was amazing and very good value for money. We ate on the lovely terrace over looking the see, lovely ambience. The hotel has a lovely pool with no shortage of sun beds.
Great benefit the hotel is circa 25 minutes from Pisa airport and in a great position to visit many places in Tuscany.
I would recommend this hotel

We were on our way to Pisa to pick our youngest son up from the airport and after a days travelling we stopped and found Villa Margherita, we hadn't booked so we were pleased when we were told they had one vacant room. The room was on the ground floor, a little cramped as there was a double and a single bed in it but we were lucky to find a bed for the night. The hotel has a small swimming pool that is not as yet completed as there is work in progress to build a swim upto bar. Unfortunately because of the size of the pool there are not enough sun beds to go round. The hotel is right on the coast but sadly although you walk down to the sea you can't get in it as there is no way of getting in or out off the sea wall. There is a splendid terrace with a superb sea view where dinner and breakfast is served in fine weather, the dinner menu is excellent and the food is extremely well prepared and presented. The night we were there over 40 people were dining and only 2 waiting staff who were pushed to the limit but cheerfully and professionaly got through the evening. On the terrace there is a very charming seating area where you can have a pre dinner drink, having been directed there we waited over 20 minutes to be served, no one came to serve us so we decided to go to our table. Overall apart from the negatives our stay was pleasant thanks to the location the food and the superb staff.
